I have a a1 catapult as my first mech, I am enjoying playing it a lot but I can't work out how to get the SSMS to fire on the left mouse button and my LRM to fire on the right button. Help please! ;)

Use arrow keys and control to assign groups. ssrm group 1 and lrms group 2. Lastly move the column back to group 1.

And here you can find a video about it http://mwomercs.com/game/training-grounds

If you look on the right corner you'll see your weapon grouping. You want to use the arrow keys on the right side of the keyboard by the number pad. Use them to highlight the numbers. Use ctrl to remove your current weapon groups by de-selecting them (make the numbers disappear.) Then highlight the srm when you get rid of the current numbers and hit ctrl. Your srms will be in weapon group 1. Go over one space and use ctrl for your lrms. This will put them in weapon group 2. This should now allow you to use left click to fire your srms and right click to fire your lrms. I'm not that great at explaining things but this should work.

Use the arrow keys (while in game, preferably the training grounds) to select which weapon that you want and to highlight the number for the fire group then use the left CTRL button to assign or remove from groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Go into options and change your left button to fire group one and the right to fire group two. If your mouse has more than 3 buttons (the scroll wheel is the third) I recommend putting group 3 and group 4 to them to make firing a one handed affair. By doing this you can keep your right hand free to control speed, direction, Jumpjets, targeting, etc.

You want to do it when you're in a game. Best place is the training grounds.

No in game. Drop to the testing grounds. That you can find left to the launch button.
