The possibility of having dedicated Linux gamers join in the near future if I can cajole WINE to play nice with MWO which could be a man month of work or more before being able to "play" which is kinda outside of reasoning for a BETA key so.... I am fine with waiting till its open to start WINEing it up. :)

or just stop being cheap and install win 7 partition and play right away!

LOL. Deep in the back of my head I know you are absolutely correct, but in my heart, I know that I have an addiction and I am not willing to give it up yet, so um can I have a key please. :)

I find the best thing to do with anticipation is funnel it into an ocd level of vigilance and scrutiny to make sure to the best of my abilities that it's done to my satisfaction(or as compromisingly close as possible, one does have to be realistic with one's expectations). especially since I plan to sink a large amount of time not going outside to pretend i'm actually good at something.

but then again i'm way too cynical for my own good, a byproduct of having waaaay too much time to think

Well I'm leaving Thailand for a few months so my Villa is free and open, as I'll be heading back the states. Paul, Russ, Garth, you're welcome to stay there for a few months.

This offer I can actually say is 100 percent legit. Heading back to the states in 10 days. You guys give me a beta key and I'll tell my landlord Khun Wantana to have a key waiting for you, with the taxi driver when you arrive in Suvarnabhumi airport.

Sorry No MS OS or Software here, I even do not run the BIOS that comes with my MotherBoards, I make CoreBoot BIOS's.
My router is a 1.13GHz Pentium 3 with my own squid HTTP proxy cache, fun stuff like that :)

It is not so much that I do not like MS its more I like to **** around with doing it myself. :)

I will bid my time, three (that's right, three!) klondike bars, and the ritual sacrifice of the spider hiding in that corner over there that thinks I can't see it. All for a single beta key.

That, or my patience and $60 roughly one month and 4 days after this post.

5) You may choose the middle name of my second born child. Example Tim Mechwarrior Online Deathbot

Keep the list going people

That makes your first name walking! That is an exciting name and I hope you didn't get too much flack at highschool. I wish I had an exciting name like that.

I wonder if the devs would like the madcat I've been building in my garage for the last 4 years for a beta key, something about Paul's view on them makes me think "no".

I am about to trade TWO of my RL friends, both of whom received beta keys this week. I might normally be happy for them, but I am a true BattleTech fanatic, and have been for many years. I was a tabletop player in the early 90's, painted my own pieces, made custom 3D topographic maps and was GM for many epic Mechwarrior PnP games, in addition to buying or playing almost every BT-themed video game. Crescent Hawk's Inception through MW4:Mercenaries and Virtual Worlds tournaments. I watched the cartoons, I bought a case of the trading cards, I even tablet-drew a CG Mech (a Thor if you must know) freehand and mostly from memory for my computer art class final project (got an A). I can easily say that I have spent more money and time on BattleTech games, merchandise, software and simulations than any other gaming IP. Oh, I have also beta tested over 30 games over the years, on multiple platforms (PS2, PC, Mac, Android), and am fully familiar with reporting and repeating bugs.

What sticks in my craw is that I evangelized, and told BOTH my friends about MWO and hounded them to register to save their handles months ago. What REALLY sticks in my craw is that neither one is a BT junkie, and both put together have less beta testing experience than I do. One likes swords and orcs more than PPC's and Clanners. He is sitting on his key for now (hasn't even DL'ed client) because, well, he is in the middle of a Nightmare Diablo3 run and can't be bothered to break his stride at the moment. The other doesn't have as much time to test MWO as he would like because running his EVE:Online corporation is a lot of work, and his GF is already pitching a fit over his gaming time.

Meanwhile, I have lots of free time ATM (work cut back hours), and am wearing out F5, wondering why I am not worthy.
