Had a 4 PPC Stalker alpha me in the CT with 50 pts of armor and went red internal. How is that possible? No one else was in range to hit me. I

This should probably be in the bug reporting forum. if you have a screenshot or video that might help. Other than that, maybe there was someone behind you?

Only possible way is if someone else had shot you.

Damage "warping" from front to rear or vice versa has been reported before.

You literally left out all the important factors: the mech you were in, the direction the shot came from, WHERE the stalker was in relation to you, how you KNEW you had 50 armor (undamaged? guesstimate?) , and how you know no one else was in range.
This game has at least double every 'stated' range, triple for ballistics, where weapons will do reduced damage. Either you took hits before the alpha and your paper doll didn't update (that happens), or someone was actually in range and you didn't know it. Like a hiding mech with ECM or something.
Or you were in a Kintaro with it's wonky center torso damage calculation.
