Pgi, Disable The Spider Mech Now

It's a broken mech ruining your game, with players exploiting it non stop. As of right now I'll be joining them to drive more of your customers away until you realize fixing the spider's hitboxes should be your #1 priority and not cash shop kintaro BS. Since I can offer little constructive help in the way of "fixing" such a blatant design flaw in the game, my best advice is to disable the mech for players until you figure out a way to fix the issue. Thank you.

I have a better suggestion...







































Let's disable all mechs, except for Atlases. While we're at it let's disable all weapons, except for PPC/ERPPC+Gauss. The rest are all broken and need to be fixed ASAP. Oh yeah, get rid of all maps except for River City, River City Night, and Forest Colony. In addition, let's get rid of caps and Conquest mode. We should only be playing deathmatch. /sarcasm

Spiders are annoying, but not the #1 issue in this game.

There's a difference between broken and unbalanced. PPC poptarting boats were unbalanced. A mech you cannot hit 90% of the time is broken. My latency is never above 40. I'm sure lots of spider players with disagree with me because they are enjoying their "god-mode" ATM. It's a fundamental issue with a competitive game, which deserves no less than the full attention of the devs hence why I'm calling PGI out on this one. Enjoy!

One person's broken is another person's unbalanced. The problem isn't the hit boxes. The problem is with HSR and hit detection. PGI ALREADY KNOWS THE PROBLEM EXISTS AND IS GOING TO FIX IT. They said so.

How many people do you think that PGI employs to work on this game?

How about PGI just fixes the spider. I have watched a spider running straight away from a mech that shoots 6ML right into the square of its back and keep them there the whole time at optimal range.... and all that happened was the spiders armor flashed just a bit. 6ML would core through the back armor of ANY other light mech, but on the spider it doesn't do anything half the time. I have seen 3-4 mechs spends 2-3 minutes trying to kill one spider, where those same mechs downed an atlas in under 30 seconds right before.

There is something wrong with the spiders.... they need fixing.... Let's all just agree to that and hope PGI gets on board with fixing them.

A few less considering it's something like this that made me take the last 2 months away from the game, participation, and supporting it with MC purchases. I am the canary in the coal mine. If this is a long standing issue, I apologize I haven't been around recently to drum up attention. Until this gets fixes expect several threads on the subject.

They have exactly 50 people working on this game in all departments. How many people do you think are working on bug fixes? How many lines of code do you think the bug fixing team has to go through in order to fix it? How many hours can you stand to stare at lines of code before you go bonkers and want to kill your customers screaming about something that you have already identified as a problem, let your customers know that there is a problem, and watching your customers act like spoiled 5 year olds that didn't get the candy bar at the store?

I dont see the problem with spiders. I have 127 ping almost always, and have killed them alone in my atlas. It takes a little patience and some skill. If your complaining about spiders its probably because you dont yet have the skill to take them out, or the patience.

If we 're going to remove a mech because it's partly broken, we should remove the Dragon because it did break the collusion mechanics in the game. Dragons were able to knock down anything and everything, They were so good at it I watched atlases fall over when they hit dragons that were standing still!

Is hit detection broken? Yes
Is it most obvious with the spider? Yes.
Will the spider be removed? No.

Disabled not removed. Do not allow players to select it in the mech lab until the issue is resolved. You cannot have blatantly broken things running rampant in a competitive game or you'll bleed customers faster than ... well than PGI.

One of the many voices in my head is demanding to move this thread.

This voice is so obtrusive, that I can no longer hear the voices humming the smurf song as a choir, or the ones replaying Star Trek - The Wrath of Kahn.

I seem to have no choice but to obey this voice.

wierd. i killed 4 in 1 match just the other day. SSRM2 does wonders on a spider.

Aim a little further ahead of spider and I think you will find more success... That is what I've learned fighting lag shield.
