Gigabyte is the second motherboard company to announce the new A88X chipset based mobo for the upcoming Kaveri APU. Big news will be the new mobo will support PCI-E Gen 3.0, Direct X11.1 and 4K display support from HDMI and Displayport

big woohoo!!!

for those who are currently on the FM2 APUs another good news is that the mobo will still support your current APUs. Means you can still use your A10-6800K on the A88X mobo

and now the bad news, we might only see the Kaveri APU only next year 1st Quater

Gigabyte isn't exactly the first...I believe ASUS announced their's a couple of weeks ago...

I've also read comments from some reviewers which would indicate at least a "soft launch" of Kaveri before the end of the year, possibly much sooner.

Still, good news for AMD/APU fans.

whoops

good thing you found the article

thanks

but Asus only have one A88X product but Gigabyte has a full line up and one is the gaming grade edition

Another point to take note is that to support PCI-E 3.0 on the A88X mobo you WILL NEED FM2+ APUs
