In third person I can see around corners with zero risk to myself. I can see over hills with zero risk to myself. Giving away my position is meaningless compared to the infinite free information I can get from parking behind a mountain with a scout and relaying every detail about your team from 800 meters away where none of you can target me. Lights were already incredibly powerful and now they are also invincible. Looking around a corner for free to see how many enemies are there with no risk before deciding whether or not to run in is a problem. Now an assault mech has no risk of overshooting it and wandering out into a battlefield to be torn apart. Speed is no long an issue when you can see through walls.
Being able to change between first and third person on the fly is a serious issue. When this was first discussed I thought it was in consideration as an option you couldn't just change back and forth as you wanted... now you have a wallhack at the press of a button. At least let us sort out who is using it and who is not.
I know PGI wont do anything to fix it. I know they wont help us deal with it. I just needed to make this thread so others have a place to lament.
