really guys i think its ok to feel ripped and dissapointed but for me the tidalwave of whining that going on in here is really hard to take for a grown up man

How did you manage to make it to "grown up" stage without passing the third grade?

You don't sound superior, you sound like a 20 year old twit who thinks that spending the night in the drunk tank once and getting dumped by the love of your life you knew for three months gives you big boy pants.

Seriously show me one developer, no show me anyone who ever held to all his promises when he started a company or a project. Life is hard and full of obstacles sometimes, you can't just neglect them, instead you have to deal with them.

The funniest thing about it is that the founders are crying the most, who probably have THOUSANDS of playhours under their belt and they want ALL their money back lol
people pay 60$ for games that aren't longer than 10 hours of playtime and you guys are bitchin...

I for my part played the SH*T out fo my 30$ I once payed. I just don't pay more bcs I hate the heatscale but I'm still playing.

uhhh i bet U lost a lot of money for coming up so close and personal ..... PGI/Piranah didnt changed their mind for the first time, they did it with a lot of things ( coolant flush for mc´s anyone ? ) i cant understand that people are acting like somone "stole" them money... and now they want it back. if u think that ur gettin a refund u probably will end up being very dissapointed. ( what ur obviously are )

I wonder what would have happened if PGI had stated from the beginning that MechWarrior: Online would be a hybrid 1st/3rd person point of view game, and then changed their mind to 1st person view only after a 5 million dollar infusion of cash from the faithful? I have a feeling there would be the same outrage on the forums.

PS: It seems that certain people forget that there is a such thing as consumer protection and that there are entire government agencies devoted to it. Whether PGI gets punished for their arrogance is unknown (and probably unlikely, at least from the top down, rather than bottom up), but it would be disingenuous to act as if consumers can be swindled out of their money without consequence for the swindlers.

Spent $30 for MC a long time ago - enjoyed t.

Spent $80 for Phoenix - was lied to about the core fundamentals of the game.

If you can't see how spending a decent chunk of money on something that was clearly misrepresented can cause a person to be angry, then you're likely 14 years old and get daddy to buy your stuff, or you're rich as ****.

Either way, you're delusional, and people have every right to be upset about this when REAL MONEY is involved in a "game",

I would have not spent any more money if I were you until fundamental game mechanics (that are very important to you it seems) are not 100% declared and working, since you know, it's still PGI we are talking about here. And yes, it's a beta (which for me means everything can happen).

The thing that makes this game good is information starvation ('information warfare' as PGI call it) and the 3PV situation is not only the breaking of a series of assurances and promises but one of the final nails in the coffin for one of the foundation mechanics of MWO.

Would you not agree that they have misrepresented their position regarding 3PV?

I'm not going to get angry about the whole thing and stamp my feet I'm just going to claim a refund and walk away and spend my money on something else.

If they fix the issue I will return- as people keep reminding us it's a beta but it has turned out the finished product isn't going to be as advertised. False selling is false.
