Greetings all,
The installer is an "exe" file type and may being stopped by any virus or protection software you have. (as any exe file can seriously harm your computer if it is indeed a virus or malware program.)
The download installer is called "MechwarriorOnlineInstaller.exe" and is 59.4Mb in size.
Found here: http://mwomercs.com/game/download
Select "save" as the option then go to the location you saved it to, right click on the program and select "properties", the general tab window will appear. Look at the bottom and click on the "unblock" (security: This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer.) Then click "apply" on the bottom.
Now select the top tab "Compatibility" look at bottom and check off the box "Run this program as an Administrator", select "apply" and "ok".
You should now be able to start and run the installer.
Also see here for additional instructions on installing MWO:

And the MWO repair tool here:
http://mwomercs.com/...public-release/
And from the Dev. Niko Snow see here:

Make sure that all your software is up to date. In addition of verifying your drivers and framework 4.0, click the following links to make sure some other vital updates are made on your computer:
** 1) .NET: http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=17851
** 2) C++: http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5555
** 3) DirectX: http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=35
You should not be seeing an Omicron program at the install process.
Hope something here helps.
