had another 4 am art bender (yay! insomnia!!!), and a coupla ideas kicking around my head. Someone had been bugging me for an Exterminator (Viktor Drake, I think?) so here it is. This one ended up leaning a little toward the lankiness that Shortpainter favors, though without his clean line work.

I like it!

Except the arms are a bit.. no.. they're fine..

But the legs are DEFINITELY a bit.. no.. no.. they're fine to..

Gobots?

This is nice. MWO needs to adopt a more slimmer design for its mechs. This is a good balance between Alex's style and Shortpainter's proportions.

Little nit pick, I thought the LRM10 was in the center torso.

Huh, it had a small laser in the head too? Man I really miss remembered this mech.

..........Gundams..... are against my religion. ^_^ (Well, I am not anti Zaku, or some of the units from the multi-nation/gladiatorial like Gundam)

Hey Bishop, I hope you don't mind my tinkering with your art. I took your fantastic version and modded parts from the 2750 TRO onto it. I hope you like this version as well.

Nice Work. Only reason I went against the skinny CT crest...is "realistically" it doesn't actually work with the Cockpit width. (Try making it into a working 3D model you will see the disparity) Side torsos..... I kind of like, though would like to see a visible panel covering the LRMs or exposed tubes. Shoulder pauldrons actually are a nice touch.

Overall, probably an improvement, though if you could narrow the lower STs a bit, and rework the CT ridge to blend the original art with realistic space constraints, I think it would actually be even better, and better than my redesign, and scads better than the original piece!

PS...also I really think it needs the Dalek on on the shoulder! :)

What do you mean lower STs? I did broaden my version from yours just a bit, the original art was a bit chunkier than your version. Also on the missile launcher, I always pictured it like this with an armored cover for both this and the AMS. It would keep with the whole Stealth look, nothing outwardly visible you know?

I get the "pop up " concept, but we also have to balance that with visual appeal, on anything to do with a Stompy Robot game. Conversely, "chunky" and Stealth are actually not compatible. Hence the more streamlined lower ST suggestion, and the general narrowness of the resign, overall.


The reason "bay doors" work on Stealth aircraft, is the general fragility of aircraft. Any hit solid enough to jam one, is probably going to down the airplane. On a "tank" you need ruggedness, and pop ups and bay doors and such are things that get hit and jammed.

Stealth is pretty subjective when referring to a walking Building, anyhow, lol.
