I never had the issue until they introduced the "gas pedal" throttle - which I promply disabled. But now, when I log in, my mech is at 100% throttle, and I have to stop it if I dont want to run out into the sunset!

Also - when I look at the map, it stops. throttle goes to zero, and I have to accelerate again. Why doesnt it just keep running?

I dont want throttle decay! I want start at 0 until I tell it go at some speed, and I want to cruise if I open my map and dont stop it!

you can disable throttle decay in your options menu. I use keys to set throttle speed rather than holding down W this gives more finger speed and options too.

I have never had throttle decay enabled, and I have never had your problem. I just press w (and I do not need to hold it),d,x to control speed.
