I suggest everyone make a topic about this. So we can cut the cancer that is 3pv out just like we did for sarah.

You don't find it advantageous because youre either an ***** noob or a plant from pgi droning on to the rhythm of the steel drum band from the recent past say 1990 or even from the future if you were to go there then you should try and go back to the future and actually try and be intelligent!11!1and1!!!!!!1

Jess, I am not a plant from PGI, i was merely stating a simple opinion in a polite manner. All i wanted to say is i don't care for 3rd person, I prefer 1st person.

I like your thoughts Pras. I definitely think it would be cool if you could shoot down the camera. Also, just a thought, wouldn't it be interesting if you could control the drone more, so that it could move to your right side or left side of your mech. Maybe rotate the drone 360 degrees just like a periscope. In 1st person L+Ctrl allows you to look around your cockpit, maybe L+Ctrl in 3rd person would allow you to fly the drone around a little bit.

Keep working on that after-action camera (dev time spent on 3PV should have gone here anyway), then people can see all the mech goodness that theyre "missing" from 3PV.
And utilize ONE of those blank cockpit screens to show a mech diagram that animates to show your torso orientation. Now new players will have the relevant mech information RIGHT IN THEIR FRICKEN FACE, which is what a cockpit is designed to do!

I seriously don't get all the melodrama over this issue. It's like I walked into a kids birthday party and all of the adults are screaming, throwing furniture and punching their fists through the walls because the host made a pitcher of lemonade.
"But it's for the kids. If you don't want any don't drink it. " the host says.
And with a hate fueled froth spilling from their feral maws, the adults scream "POUR IT DOWN THE DRAIN!!! POUR IT DOWN THE DRAIN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It feels wrong to being forced to 3PV at the start of the drop. It's just a tad bit annoying.
From what I know - most people just switch away to 1PV right ahead.
So you've forced a feature which wasn't looked forward to that much. I don't know man. Now you totally should add some kind of rotating option for 3PV. Like looking straight in the face of your mech. Wouldn't it be cool man. It'll help new players to look behind their shoulders, in midfight - just how useful and helpful that could be, huh??
Sure, if you feel like adding more arcade elements to a mech simulator wannabe is just what's needed, why not. It already feels like a boxed-in mech shooter. You probably think the playerbase wants to experience more super mario stuff like that.
Checking out from behind the corners and hills in 3PV, great! Good times for everyone.
Also great timing on this one just before the release.

Have you ever heard of the story of the emperors new clothes? I think you just directly quoted one of the characters. I think it was Dave, the town lunatic who said that if you couldn't see the emperor's clothes that you were either a noob or a plant from the evil empire next door. And then he rambled on about steel drums and time travel or something. I swear its in the story somewhere.

Actually I think most people go into options and set it to 1pv by default and forget about it forever.

Help me with some other options I need to turn off. Glitchy hitboxes, glitchy gameplay? That would be nice if we could forget about them forever, too.

By the way, 3PV was in all other MW titles, so why not here? Stingray is right, it doesn't give you a huge advantage over 1PV users.

Yeah, sure. Blahblahblah. Apparently you seem to be lost in your own dream world. The devs already locked your new thread, congrats. Come back if you have anything intelligent to say.
