I have been playing Battletech since the table top circa 1988. I have an affinity for light mechs and washing my COs command mech (usually because I puked on it). I'd say I'm a good player, but that's a lie. I love Long Toms, Arty Beacons, Flamers, and any other useless weapon you can conceive of.

Always good to see a MPBTer. DoC and the 30LG (now the 5RCT) are over at forum.housesteiner.com. You can get the teamspeak information and say hello to a lot of old names over there. DoC may have another teamspeak server of their own as well (forgive my ignorance). I'm sure you can contact them here on these forums or at the housesteiner.com forums. Again, welcome back.

Backgriound: I am 27 and started playing recently. I played the orginal Mech Warrior title on the Super Nintendo and feel in love with the title. My PC gaming has ranged from Diablo 3 to Ace Online. Ace has a similar feel to Mech Warrior in the way that your pvp-ing in a jet, but the game is a money pit (pay to win) and the coding is riddled with bugs, hence why I am SO excited to be a part of the Mech Warrior community finally. I do not think I will be turning on anything other than MWO for a long while. Career wise I am employed as an audio engineer and it is the most fun and rewarding career I have ever worked.

Other Interests: My education, currently pursuing a B.A. in technical theater / audio engineering, Ace Online is still an interest but not as much of a hobbie as MWO is now. And just getting to know some of the great players in this community, hit me up, add me to your lists, or find me on FaceBook, I am the only Glendin Ford Jr out there so you can't miss me!

Looking for ward to the whole MWO experience. Happy Games Pilots, and may the odds surely be in your favor!

Sure it has its bugs and missing some features, but its in beta still so thats expected. I gotta say joining the Sky Rangers, (http://www.skye-rangers.net/ shameless plug), to get into team play really made the game great.

Other interests: I'm a fan of somewhat more tactical games like TF2 and XCOM. Homestuck. I've played some Tribes: Vengeance as well, among other things.

A beat up blue Cicada slides to a stop. The security lights illuminate the three faded purple Atlas silhouettes along the side. The initials A.O.L. Are painted on the back with a ragged red line through them. Just below that is painted "Solaris Sucks!". Along the other side of the mech is a single word. "SOON".

A middle-aged mechwarrior clambers down, and to the ground. He has a bottle in one hand, and pauses briefly to wipe the dirt from the fist decal on the leg of his mech. He takes a long draw from his bottle.

"What the f*** happened? Roamer, front and center! Roamer? Gr8, is this the place? Mac is gonna have us doing glacier runs if we are raiding the wrong bar again!"

I'm seeing a lot of familiar names here that I've dropped with, strategized with, and plotted with. I figured I'd stop by and check things out.

I was recruited by McBride. I served under Kneecapper (Who I learned today is no longer with us. Very sad). Same story as most here... AOL, Gamestorm, various MW placebos, always promised the holy grail, always disappointed...

Nice to see Deathlord here. Maybe Tracer, Gr8pmkn, Roamer, Mick, Justice, or any of the other Royal Guards will show up.
