As Assault mode pretty much a variation of capture the flag, however it is not a complete variation. In Capture the Flag, you have two opposing teams whose goal is to capture the other team's flag and bring it back to their base. Along the way, the defending team can intercept the captured flag and retrieve it and brought back to its original base.

The time it takes to "capture" the base in assault roughly simulates the time it takes to bring the enemy flag to the other side. And while the defending team can run off or destroy the enemy mechs at the base, there is no mechanic to simulate being able to bring the "flag" back to its previous status. If a base is 60% capture, it will remain so until the enemy steps back into the square. Therefore I propose that a friendly mech can "refill" the bases capture bar. This will simulate the ability to bring the flag back.
