In 8v8 it was fairly easy to quickly count the number of mechs remaining on each side in Conquest by pulling up the scoreboard. Now, when both lists are 12 mechs long and practically run into each other this is much more difficult.

I'd like to see an easy to read number at the top of each team's list, showing the number of mechs alive on that team. This would also be handy for Assault when a mech has disconnected or died to suicide or friendly fire, thus not being counted on the score meter at the top.

The HUD shows the number of 'Mechs lost by each team at the top of the screen, near the capture indicators. Simple arithmetic ((# of 'Mechs on team) - (number of 'Mechs lost by team)) reveals the number of 'Mechs remaining on a team.

It doesn't show up in conquest.

I agree with OP, this should be there so you know when to fight and when to hide and wait for the resource victory.

I would also prefer the assault counter to show the number remaining, since it gets thrown off when there are disconnects and teamkills.

With Conquest being a Capping game you should have tons of time to pull up the map (B button) and have a look, or press the TAB key for a list. The extended cap time really helps with this. Now if you are always trying to kill all the bad guys on conquest you would be better playing Assault.... unless you're one of THOSE players, you know the ones I mean.

I can think of several times where it would have been useful to me. The generic situation is: I'm in a fast mech (usually a Cicada for me) and in an engagement. My team is close to winning, but it will take a little more time and we are outnumbered. I need to know if I'm the last mech on my team so I can try to disengage and evade, or if I should occupy the enemy for as long as possible so that a teammate can cap another point or get to a hiding place. I'd also like to see how many enemies are left to that, if I disengage, I know how many enemies to look out for. Yes, you can tell this with tab, but a number on the screen would be preferable over counting the number of "alive" lines on the scoreboard.
