To clear all and any confusion here in this thread...
Beta - a state of a game that is in testing and is yet to be released - normally all data is wiped in the end of this phase - there will be patches on a regular basis - during this state the game is NON-PROFIT based.
Released game - a state of a game that is no longer in testing and has been released - in this state there will not be anymore data wipes and everything you get is something you can keep - there will be patches on a regular basis, fixing and balancing as always to make sure the game is fun for everyone - during this state the game is also allowing micro transactions and subscriptions if those were planned for the game.
Now try to see what MWO does....
So the game releases next month with a bunch of new content , content that has only been tested on the "test server" you could even say "beta tested" . Previous patches have hit test server before this one .... why ? ... because if they put it directly on to this one where people are paying there will be a giant outcry .
So the question is are we beta testing beta on the test servers ? ,are we doing it so the "beta" players don't get upset and stop playing / paying ? . For a year ? . If you realy think this game is in "beta" despite what pgi puts on there title screen your deluded .
