Donations are made to charities. PGI is a for profit business. Don't mince words. This has been a soft launch since November.

No. This has been a Beta. Launch is on Sept. 17th. No one forced anyone to buy anything, and PGI would be stupid not to let people buy & test the payment systems during Beta.

To clear all and any confusion here in this thread...

Beta - a state of a game that is in testing and is yet to be released - normally all data is wiped in the end of this phase - there will be patches on a regular basis - during this state the game is NON-PROFIT based.

Released game - a state of a game that is no longer in testing and has been released - in this state there will not be anymore data wipes and everything you get is something you can keep - there will be patches on a regular basis, fixing and balancing as always to make sure the game is fun for everyone - during this state the game is also allowing micro transactions and subscriptions if those were planned for the game.

Now try to see what MWO does....

So the game releases next month with a bunch of new content , content that has only been tested on the "test server" you could even say "beta tested" . Previous patches have hit test server before this one .... why ? ... because if they put it directly on to this one where people are paying there will be a giant outcry .

So the question is are we beta testing beta on the test servers ? ,are we doing it so the "beta" players don't get upset and stop playing / paying ? . For a year ? . If you realy think this game is in "beta" despite what pgi puts on there title screen your deluded .

Because payment systems don't work unless you actually use real money. Everyone knows that.

Simple minds, simple pleasure.
If people dislike the game: Uninstall and quit the forum, unless you are socially awkward and have no other hobby besides staring out of the basement window. That being said I need to ask Mom to let me out of the cellar more often.

Do you understand that separating queues wont do a thing cause nobody will be playing 3PV?

It's no our problem but PGI/IGP's management.

I keep seeing this recurring argument that split queues for 1PV vs. 3PV would divide the player base too much. I think this is a false assumption...

Did split queues for conquest and assault divide the player base too much? If so, I didn't notice it...

Players will gravitate towards the mode they prefer, if this means that the 3PV queues become desolate, that should tell you what the community prefers. If you (the devs) won't listen to community polls then will you at least implement HC mode for a week or a month and then look at the game data to determine whether HC or 3PV are viable?

Seems like a no-brainer to me...
