Hi all, I just instilled the client and have some problems with textures. Mechs and buildings look good, but surface is all in one color, clouds are like big squares :P and monitors in cockpit are all white. I installed most resent drivers and DirectX10. my wideocard is GeForce GTX 550Ti
Help please

Now that you've gotten that taken care of, you should get in the habit of manually deleting your shaders folders each time before you start the client or once every few hours during marathon sessions. It is the source of most of the gfx issues, especially flashing terrain/missing textures etc.

C:\Games\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\USER

Delete the Shaders folder and its contents. The MWO client will make a new one upon starting, which will in turn fill up with nonsense that make your textures freak out and need to be deleted again, and again...

Haven't run into any major texture glitches except one...on one of the snow-based maps (can't recall if it's Alpine Peaks or Frozen City Daytime), I get blue boxes along the periphery of the map. I'm guessing this is where some of the out-of-bounds topography is supposed to be, but it's unable to pull the texture files for whatever reason. Other than that, runs like a dream.

I haven't, but then again it has only happened so far in the training grounds and not the actual missions (no idea why that is), so it hasn't been urgent enough for me to download/run the repair tool. Once the tool is up-to-snuff and gets rolled into the patcher (which they said there were working on), I'll take another look if I'm having problems at that time. Thanks for the heads-up, just the same. :(

Just snapped this off a little while ago...it's the Forest Colony (Snow) map in the Training Grounds. These are the borked/missing textures I mentioned above.

^ Ahhh, that glitch again. I've been seeing that for months. I meant to give the devs feedback on it...

When you get that glitch, it appears all over the hills, doesn't it? And, some of the blue squares come and go as you move?

yeah, I encountered this.. but only in testing grounds... yet if you walk towards them they go away.. and when you look behind you there is more blue blocks on the hills far away.. don't quite understand why thats happening... render distance issues in testing grounds?

It may not be about textures, but.
Can some one help with this error:

Cryengine error

***Mamore allocation for 918374506 bytes failed***

it appears before the battle starts almost in half cases. And kicks me out (((

Someone on the Newbie forum I think has mentioned the error Dingo, but I don't think anyone has found a solution yet. Are you by chance running Windows 8? It may be unique to that OS. I'd file a bug report with PGI.
