Am I Frr?

So I've been a longtime player of the MW franchise, never really got into lore. I played the TT once (with the evil twin of the Simpsons Comic Book Guys... shudder...), so I have no baggage on that end.
I just got an overlord package, and am trying to decide what faction to join. I love the freedom-fighter feel of the FRR, and the viking thing (lot of Swedish in me, and my wife's mostly Danish) tickles me. I also love Nordic metal, so that's a factor. I also love fighting for the underdog, the lost cause, and from what I've read, FRR fits that.
Practically speaking, I tend to run loadouts that synergize with my mech, but not min-max FOTM cheese. I try to hold to a sportsmanship, rather than gamesmanship, code. I'm a decent pilot, not awesome, but I almost always contribute significantly to my team. I run an extremely wide and varied number of mechs. (Commando, Spider, Raven, Jenner, Centurion, Cicada, Cataphract, Catapult, Dragon, Awesome, Highlander) I try to find a role for each mech and stick to it, despite mostly pugging.
So the big question: Am I FRR?
To give perspective, I'm also looking at Davion. I love the kinda "white knight" feel, and the "truth, justice, and federated suns" attitude. Just can't decide without gauging the community of each house.
P.S. FRR wins on the icon front. Love the Dragon Knot.

I thought about Davion, too, but I'm glad I picked the FRR.
What could the Davion hipsters talk about that's any cooler than mead, metal, and spirited women?

Come to think of it, I think our Nordic Metal thread is one of our longest threads.

If I say - provision and you understand it, your Steiner
If I say - food and you understand it your Marik
If I grunt and point and you understand it - FRR it is

I also felt I needed to apologize for novacain over here, even though i've never met him/her. I swear the Fed Suns is NOT simply a bunch of tools trolling and insulting everyone else.
Good luck man, and I'll see you on the field.

I took it for the compliment it was.

The writers may have planned it pretty far in advance, since the Invading Clans sourcebook (set soon after the Battle of Tukkayid) shows several examples of the Ghost Bears being the most lenient, least asinine occupation force of the clans.
Nevertheless, most of the clans are vat-grown Space Commies, the Ghost Bears tried to confiscate the mead on Trondheim, and as far as I'm concerned they're not my friends.
I foresee that the FRR will relish their part in the destruction of Clan Smoke Jaguar (a.k.a. the Space Taliban), long before we ever make nice with any clan.
Even when Republic and the Ghost Bears form a union, they're still electing a separate Prince and Khan, who reside on separate planets, which tells me the two governments aren't fully integrated.

Half of them, however, go to Freyja's hall where I suspect the carousing is more fun.
