Hows the Patcher working? Any major difficulties? Please let us know!

- Transition to .NET 4.0 (XP users can download and install .NET 4.0 here)
- The Repair Tool can be used to resolve most issues with installation or patching.

I just wanted to thank you for remapping every weapons group for me to insanity without mentioning that in the notes.

This X10000 and it seems even after remapping my weapon groups to the way I want them they randomly change again

I am noticing major terrain tears in alpine now. I took screens if y'all need them.

I patched earlier today and played 4 or 5 matches without issues. Two hours later I started MWO up again and the patcher is now downloading more than 2 gigabytes of additional stuff. I'm assuming this is a bug and that a 2+ gigabyte stealth patch was not released.

I start my patch, and my launcher just crashes after about a minute.

The patch went well for me.

I do concur that I wish that the weapon groups reset had been announced in the patch notes.

I have tried 3 times, unsuccessfully, to patch...never had an issue before :( 1st time I got 1 match, then pc restarted and made me download the patch again, then after patching that time it says version mismatch.

keeps crashing with non trial mechs with in 30 sec to a 1 min after round starts

I can't patch. Aussie player here getting a little ticked in regard to slow website/forums and a patch that's going so slow, I could fly over to you, pick up a copy on disc and fly back by the time it's done.

All other sites and downloads at full speed...

What happened? Forget to pay for hosting this month?

Sigh... My wife and I will really need to consider our position on both our top tier PROPHO packs and the $200 worth of MC I bought just a couple of days ago, seeing how we can't play...

I'm just really glad we got caught up with housework last weekend and didn't activate our prem' time.

Help us out here PGI. Please.

I've got exactly the same problems as Toffa - also located in Australia...
Receive a "timeout" error message after some minutes.

I've sent an email to support already... Hope it'll be solved soon.

Edit: Btw, the repair tool does not work anymore, too.

I left mine going overnight. I too was getting the "timeout" error and thought this would ****** my patch. It worked... Woke up this morning to a fully patched and working game :)

On the back of that I decided to try and patch my wife's machine again this morning before work. Coincidentally while the website was down.

FASTEST. PATCH. DOWNLOAD. EVAAAR! :)

Don't know what, if anything had changed, but we're back up and running... Now I just have to get through two more days of work and I can get back to blowin' stuff up.

Also: Jealous the wife has tomorrow off.... -_-

Lets see.

Every mech I have has no eternals - the mechlab has no items under any tab.

I crash from a major corruption caused by the patch. I mean it is total.

Not to mention that I had to wait hours to get it done. Once again my expectations plummet.

I've had that too. Played for about an hour or so after patching with no issues. The next time I loaded up the client it started patching again with 2Gb. I'm now getting a "Version Mismatch" error when I try to log in.

I've had this too, but I have auto patch turned off, I just close the patcher and restart it a min or 2 later and it works as normal.

Had this last night, seemed okay this afternoon, but now patching 2.3gb, again. Surely a 2.3gb patch is the whole game?

I've tried the 'repair tool' which doesn't seem to have any effect though it did claim to fix two problems.

Latest patch installed OK, but I lost all my weapons groupings on pretty much all my Mechs. Annoying, as my BlackJack was going into meltdown, before I realised what had happened. Spent every round after that restoring weapon groupings on every Mech I used. Next time I launched the client it started a 2.4Gb download (presumably the entire client), then I got Version Mismatch when trying to play. The following evening (i.e. now), I am currently waiting for it to apply 8 patches, wasting valuable (Premium) gaming time. I will be disabling auto-patch, I think. I'm not sitting through this again.
