Yo! I've started playing matches more regularly recently and have finally brought in a friend since I felt the game was better then it has been in a while. Is it perfect? Well of course not, we're in BETA! LOL. But we're still having a good time.
We have noticed a few things though which we're kinda iffy on though.
1.) We are forced to spend a ton of money (real and/or in-game) in order to get the most out of our Mech variants. We don't 'like' playing a million different Mechs, we have our few go-to's that we love to play and it really blows having to spend a ton of cash just to get it up to snuff to get that top tier mastery slot. So why can't either unlock all the masteries with just extra EXP or something, or spend the exp we earn on any variant with a chassis on a different variant? I mean, it's just the weapons that are different, not the way the Mech feels.
2.) This relates back to our first point, why do we have to pay REAL money for Mech Bays? We're being forced to buy 3 Mechs PER chassis, and it's 300MC PER MechBay which is about $2 per Bay. League of Legends doesn't charge me money for a 'Champion Slot' when I buy a new champion, this just seems cheesy and ridiculous. Especially when I'm paying $6 JUST to try to get an elite level on my Mech. Make it 300 C-Bills (which is nothing) or free when you get a chassis please (IMO).
3.) C-Bill Generation. At its current state, with Premium Time, and a Premium Mech on a good round we are making about 150k C-Bills per match. Avg Match time is about 7-10mins. That works out to MAYBE 1million C-Bills an hour (if we don't lose a single match and queue back-to-back which NEVER happens). This is really really painful. It basically makes it so we can't buy Mechs with C-Bills because if we spend 5 Million on a chassis we then have to grind another like 8+ hours for JUST an XL-Engine. It'd be really nice if we could grind out a new chassis in about 4 -5 hours of mixed wins/losses.
4.) Overall MC costs. The game just feels pretty expensive. After some talks we aren't sure if this is because we're in Beta and we're just trying to 'get funding' or this is the actual plan. But it just feels really expensive and really grindy. I know it's a fine line with 'pay-to-win' and such but it costing about $12 for a paint job on one Mech is kinda crazy haha.
Overall, we're still enjoying the game though and are looking forward to further improvements to it. We enjoy the 3pv to check out our Mechs but we never play in it because it does a good job of really hampering your movement/aiming. It's definitely not 'game-breaking' as everybody seems to be complaining about.
Thanks!

I am fine with having to pay for additional mech slots, just not with only four slots to use. It needs to be more like 8-10 free slots. Also, if you absolutely need to get mech slots for cbills, make it 1 million or thereabouts. Even 500,000 would do I guess, but it is ridiculous to be able to buy 10 mech slots for the price of one lost match.

Ok. I am curious though, why do you feel that for this game paying for additional slots is justified? When in other games I don't have to pay for slots to increase my playable inventory? Not trying to flame or anything, just trying to understand
