I have a garbage wireless mouse right now. Can't afford a deathadder right now. What's a good setting for a plain jane mouse? I try to line up a shot but it's just really bouncy.

Not quite sure what you are talking about here. Sensitivity?
In general, you want the sensitivity as low as you can get it without having to pick the mouse up too much.
Another trick to let you get it lower is to program a button to "center torso". This allows you to go from full twist one way to the other with less mouse input.

I have the sensitivity to .2 now and the smooth and acceleration at .3. It's a little better now. I just noticed left button on the mouse doesn't register every time now too. Set it to d-pad on my nostromo. Yep time for a new mouse. Stupid bills getting in the way.

I would also experiment with acceleration off.
Many gamers prefer this, because then moving the mouse x distance always results in a turn of y degrees.
With acceleration on, how much you turn for a given movement of the mouse depends on how fast you move it.
For this to be optimal, you may need to turn acceleration off under windows or in your mouse software.
