I had an idea that i thought sounded kinda nifty. Add in a sort of survival bonus. Win or lose if you are still alive at the end of the match you should get a small bonus. This would help deter being stupid a little more since R&R is out and when R&R is back in it'll help cover some repairs as well. In Mechwarrior 2 mercs the opening says "look on the bright side kid, you get to keep all the money". So implimenting a Congrats you're still alive bonus would be pretty beneficial for everyone in my opinion at least. What do you guys think?

i have a totally new idea to that:
Make it so, that you have to repair your mech, the more damage, the more you'd have to repair obiously

The main issue I see with this suggestion is changing the current incentives of the game (to engage the enemy) to the opposite (do not engage the enemy). I can see this being the main reason why PGI wouldn't impliment this, if they don't impliment it.

Why should someone who avoided combats and letting his comrades behind get a bonus?
If the mission fails because of one coward warrior, he surely does not need a survival bonus...

would give even more incentive to those who decide to base rush win.

I think it's a great idea. Losing a mech was supposed to be a big deal in Battletech. Disposessed mechwarriors were on the bottom rung of society.
