I haven't seen the podcast yet, but my reply would be: Both.
So many cool things this game really could be something ,but then come the bad parts and they drag it down.

Super good review +100 I would like to say your spot on 90% of your review the UI needs work as in #1 Savable configurations per mech load out in the mechlab so you can go back and see or use the mech load outs you have made. #2 A my owned parts and equipment tab so you can see what you own quickly to use or sell.#3 On the main menu there needs to be a center live chat lobby launcher for private matches and social interaction for the whole community.#4 Mech maneuverability the mechs are just a little sluggish on movement and acceleration no matter what engine you place in them. #5 MWO needs more game mode options like attrition-destruction-king of the hill-etc. like in the older MechWarrior games.#6 A quick sell tab to load all the items and weapons onto for a quick sell of items to the market.#6 A tutorial similar to EVE would work well with MWO a interactive AI to show every aspect of the UI and how it works.#7 A tutorial with live AI on MechWarrior tactics and mech maneuverability and functions like the old tutorial missions in past MechWarrior games. I could add more but who knows a dev or forum mod might just come by and read this wonderful topic.

Mechwarrior the franchise have a lot of cool things no discussion about that, the problem is MWO just have some good things (very poor).
