Hey all

Firstly , a giant "THANKYOU" for recreating a dx9+ version of my favorite pc title from many years ago !
I didnt even know this was free to play untill i logged in , and the 100 bucks i spent on it was what i woulda payed anyway ! saying that it was a nostalgic event for me jumpin in a mech and dying to others with weapons loadouts that were setup in all sorts of erratic methods. Though already it feels like its burning away its charm quickly with such limited access to weapon swapping.

ive only had the game a cpl of days and automatically i feel compelled to advise bringing back certain elements of the original ( if possible ) and get a sense of how others feel about it.

1. Id like to see a "manual weapon grouping" option , or a clearer explanation of this one if its present.

2. Id like to swap out that "Heavy Laser" for 2-3 "Light Pulse Laser" and really customize the light show options i bestow upon the enemy , increasing the threat without hampering the damage too much , or a clearer explanation of this one if its present.

3. I have not been able to adjust the speed of my mech from dropping stats like armour plating or particular weapons from use. ( Tbh i did kinda pay for this thing with real money , so id like to be able to "**** my ride" if possible yeah ? ).

4. Mapping / Minimap / Battlemap feel clunky and old. u need a 3d holographic map in the cockpit to the side ( as part of the interior would be nice ) and teams being able to set "Lance grp waypoints" to allow easy coop play. ( or a clearer ex......)

5. Maps and Weather. K yeah i know early days , would like to see more modes and more maps , your forgiven so far as i know its early days , but so far ive only seen day and night , id like to see some rain or fog , maybe a random tornado or earthquake event. Ash from a local volcanic eruption would put some use to these visual **** we have installed yeah ?

Thats all i got at the moment , i am chasing a new look to the game i used to play however what i can do is kinda lost to the technicality of availability. AKA : its all red and cant use it , yet / now /ever ?

Im curious to see if any of the 1st generation Battletech players are still playing and put something in as i may have missed 3800 tonnes of detail , but id be open to buying replacement weapon kits or custom gear with storage shared for all mechs owned ....

feedback anyone ?

Manual weapon grouping: in game; arrow keys to move the selector, right control to assign groups.

You can fully customize any mech you own,weapons/armor/engines/etc, and your inventory is of course shared between all your mechs.

Mech speed is changed by changing your engine. Again requires a mech you own, not a Trial mech

The map is visually what it is, but if you open the full screen map (b by default) you can assign waypoints and commands

And LOTS of us are old school tabletop/MechWarrior players.
