Hello, Havoc91 here with a small suggestion I have been thinking about.
Basicly: Making it possible to only buy the chassis for a mech if one wants to. The reason why I'd like this added to the game is because when I try to get my pilot skills unlocked for mechs I end up spending several millions extra just on equipment I might switch out, when I could have just bought the chassis and used the weapons and equipment I had acquired previously when either buying a complete mech or the specified weapon / equipment on the market.
My prime example is the Centurion CN9-D. As I have mastered the Basic row of pilot skills on both the CN9-A and CN9-AL I need to use the CN9-D to get into Elite pilot skills. Problem is I have to pay 8,1million C-Bills because it comes standard with a superexpensive XL Engine 300 and LB 10-X AC, aswell as LRM 10 with ARTEMIS (which I believe costs quite a bit too to add).
I already have a LB 10-X AC already so another one would do me no good, since the Centurion only have the space for 1 anyway.
If I could choose to only buy the chassis it would save me lots of time and I dont end up with many a ton of weapons and equipment I will not use.
This is just my opinion.

We've been asking for the ability to purchase just the chassis since closed beta. I don't see PGI doing it because its easier to stock up on weapons than it is chassis.

yeah, they might not do it. But just wondering for those of you that know Battletech better than I do, did Mech Manufacturers sell Mechs just as chasis or only with it's full loadout? Cuz I think if they did sell just chasis then it wouldn't be such a bad idea to add it to the game.
