I have disagreed with many things they have pushed through such as ghost heat, ppc balance and 3pvx but what makes me the most upset as a paying player of this game isn't the fact that these things were pushed through, but the fact that PGI did not engage us or say anything until until after the fact.
I honestly would be more satisfied if let's say during the whole ghost heat debate PGI had come on here and said "we acknowledge your argument, but we disagree because of point A and B and we are still pushing forward with the idea anyways."
This is what I see going on with the gauss desync issue, many players here are making reasonable claims as to why it is a bad idea, but PGI has chosen to remain silent and will most likely continue to do so, providing no feedback until the change is already in place and then explaining it and apologizing for it.
The utter lack of transparency or communication in their process is utterly disrespectful to the playerbase. The way they go about it is like they are treating us like children. Please engage the playerbase ahead of time; showing us that even if you don't care about our opinions you at least acknowledge them, is a step in the right direction. People shout and complain on the forums because you never answer until it is too late.
There are plenty of good discussion topics on this forum regarding balance changes, a simple "No" is better than just pretending it doesn't exist. This is the only online game I have ever played where it has been so rare to see developer comments and feedback to players on the official forum.
