In the end I think the community has shown amazing acceptance of our proposed direction of MWO if they feel it would be best for the future of MechWarrior Online and growing this great brand.

despite popular belief the angry mob that lingers around the forums IS NOT the entire community. as of this posting there are 394 members logged in and 1309 guests. even as far as viewing the forums we are the noisy minority. we just don't like to admit it because it weakens our stance with respect to any arguments we make because when "everybody" agrees that "everybody" really isn't that large a group with respect to the whole pool of MWO gamers.

almost every time i play i skim through both team lists looking for any name i recognize and i rarely even find one. forum posters are the noisy minority.

See this is why it's my favorite quote. I didn't say a word and people are going off the rails. This single sentence I quoted from Russ can stir everyone, every single person playing MWO. (I'd say that's about 90% but oh what the heck)

My take on it? The frabjous grammar... But hey we all make mistakes right? ^.^

expression when seeing it.

I'm still giggling over it.

EDIT: to be at least a bit constructive. Aye blinkin I agree with you somewhat.
However I feel that the forum posters (there are HORRIBLE exceptions I know I know) are the people to listen to, Some of them usually has their finger on the pulse most of the time... Sorta... The point is the forum posters are the only people willing to openly contribute, collaborate and assist the developers in building the game for the community. They are generally the people who should be listened or at least... heard.
"the silent majority" don't really have say in anything because... It's that obvious. Regardless how good they are.

I would have LOVE to see an ingame quick 1 minute poll for popular important decisions on incoming major features.

"Not so fast mechwarrior, before you launch your first match of the day, would YOU like to see XYZ consumables/features next patch?
-Yes?
-No?
Here's a button for further details you (abstain button will be there)"

I feel like I kind of want to force people to make a choice.

I mean it's Beta, That would be a very good way to test stuff. Player accounts must have at least XYZ playtime or a filed a special register form online so that people can't just make dummy accounts and skew the outcome. This could have saved a lot of tears really.
