You mean the Archer, Rifleman, Warhammer, Wasp, Stinger, Phoenix Hawk, Crusader, Marauder, Stinger LAM, Wasp LAM and Phoenix Hawk LAM that we know will never happen.

All those mechs can be re-made to look different. Harmony Gold owns the rights to the graphic designs, not the names and loadouts.

So never say never!

I'd rather they not bother if they have to change the design so much they couldn't be recognised, the IIC, II variants I saw as models, and art sucked hard.

Lams would have no point in MWO, as there is no air combat, and the inclusion of them is likely to have brought the theft to the attention of the IP owners

We saw them come back TEN YEARS AGO.

The COMMUNITY is who is responsible for perpetuating this urban legend. The COMMUNITY is who is to blame for not accepting those redesigns. The only thing that was ever in contest was the original imagery used. Not the names, not the stats, not the 'mechs themselves. Don't use those images, and there is no issue.

Although to be fair, a lot of the art in the 2003 Project Phoenix Tech Readout is actually pretty terrible. I mean if you were presented with this as what ShadowHawks are supposed to look like from then on, you'd probably just say 'screw it, leave them UnSeen' too.

Exactly the redesigns blew chunks, and was the biggest rip off of the franchise, those who had the old models just went..pass..

I have faith that Russ and Bryan will try and deliver this. They are sitting in a bunker somewhere right now, a tropical bunker, with drinks that have umbrellas and stuff, plotting ways to make this happen. You want to know why? It isn't because they are fans, although that is a contributing factor, it isn't because they need more mechs, we don't really, it is because that one single pack would make them so much bank it would be silly stupid not to.

Saber Pack II - Crusader, Archer, Marauder, Warhammer, Rifleman (we already gots it; Firebrand whaaaaaat?)

Whats that? I couldn't read your reply from the sound of cash registers trembling in fear.

yes rifleman firebrand old hat, and to be honest i'd rather have the phoe wasp and stinger

When you give me an alternative to being forced to play against those who use 3pv we can talk. I want to love you MW:O but your "miscommunication" (aka blatant lie) keeps getting in the way of my common sense to further invest in a game that advertises itself one way, while doing the complete opposite.

Communication is something that has been a problem for a while, yes. If you proceed to go to the "No guts no galaxy" website, you will see podcasts that have the Creative Director, Bryan Ekman, talking about this exact issue, why they have made the decisions they've made in the past, and an incredible insight to the future of MWO. Things are going to change. There are three parts to the podcast, each being about an hour long. So If you like this game, and want to know whats going to happen in the future, these podcasts are pure gold. Totally worth the listen.

You don't have to go to NG/NG's site if you don't want to. If for some reason you feel that you should only get your MWO info from MWO's pages (as some people here have seem to expressed some strange aversion to going anywhere else but these forums), you can go to MWO's Community page here and listen to NG/NG's podcasts as well.

Thanks, I didn't catch that until after I posted that. I usually check for things on this site first, but also check NGNG quite frequently. I don't think the location of where Its heard is the most crucial, but just hearing It Is important :(

To be honest, as much as I like the Saber package. If those mechs where a part of the Phoenix package, I'd ditch the Wolvie and Griff for these in a heartbeat.

(Different colors would be a nice little touch, but that's just me.)

Star Citizen is funding a game. If you think you're buying a ship, you're thinking the wrong way. The way to think of it is that you're helping fund the game. The ship, and anything else you may get, is a bonus.

In a sense, I think the same way of MechWarrior. I'm still helping fund the game.

I love Mechs, therefore MechWarrior is worth the money I spend.
I love the creative direction of Star Citizen, therefore Star Citizen is worth the money I spend.

You really just have to look at what's available, step back, and think. Is this really worth my money? Only you can decide that.
I have desided to support this game. I have bought 50$ Worth of MC and 80$ Phoenix pkg. That is a lot more than I usually spend on games. How ever, I do not spend Money just to spend Money. Even if I want to support the game. 200$ in collors is out of the question. 500/1000MC for each collor is to much. Spend 10$ on collors, and you should have them all. 10$ for a cammo pattern is still expencive even if you get to use it on all mechs, but fair enough. I think more ppl would use a little more if they actually got more back.

Not on my screen. The image is broken, but there's still a place for it, and the mouseover still works.

The broken image is pointing to loyalty_3_00.jpg which might not exist.

The previous progress bar section is pointing to loyalty_2_100.jpg.

There's a typo in the link to the image. https://static.mwome...lty_3_00_on.jpg doesn't exist, but https://static.mwome...alty_3_0_on.jpg does.

Here is my problem with the Bryan Ekman podcast...IT SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING NEW OR CONCRETE!

The interview was the same old re-hash of vague promises and pie-in-the-sky, "I have this vision of what we can do" spin doctoring. The was note a single hard fact, set goal or delivery date for anything Bryan discussed, other than that it would all happen sometime after launch and sometime after UI 2.0 rolls out, which also has NO SPECIFIC rollout time frame. Everything hinged on "maybe", " when", or "if".

Since PGI, with a few rare exceptions, has failed to meet nearly every promise, deadline, projection, or vision that they have committed to in the past, why does segments of the MWO community continue to support this developer?

Since NGNG is the dedicated source for developer information to the community, are the NGNG guys being compensated? It would be kind of unfair if their podcast was being used as an official PGI link to the community without due compensation. What can we as a player base do to make sure that the NGNG guys are being rewarded for their new roles as official public relations personnel?

They aren't fans of Heavy Gear, I guess.

NGNG stopped being a simple "fan podcast" and became at least a semi-official MWO/MWT podcast when they started receiving funding from IGP (iirc) some time ago when the podcast and their site became their full time jobs instead of something they do on the side.
