So, my drop counts for each map are completely screwed, Tourmaline is basically 2:1 to all else, but the last few nights I havent seen it quite as much.

However, I have not dropped on Caustic since the last patch, and before that, it was twice in 3 weeks.

have the devs given it like a 0-1% drop chance because they think it is complete for launch and want more time on other maps? Or is there something really bad with the "random map choice" algorithm or something?

variety is the spice of life. Right now, Caustic and frozen city night just arent in my rotation, like ever.

well I'm getting either Frozen City or Terra Thermal all the time. I much prefer Caustic or Alpine.

I've hit Caustic a few times in the past few days, so it's still in the game.

However, somewhere around here somebody did some research on this, and there's more to the map weighting (from what we can tell) than just "newer maps have a higher chance." For some reason, Caustic is a low probability map. No idea why, and I actually kind of like it, but it tends to show up less frequently for most players.

One question if your in Caustic why do you not take acid damage in so call acid water if most of the map is acidic and abused heavly by industry?

Also proboly cause other maps need fixing and puts map weights on problem map to get players to get a one map more often to find a cause of a problem.
