Hi Folks!

Due to my deep burning hatred for television, i read a lot of books. Of course i´ve read all BT-stuff that i could lay my hands an, but i like most sci-fi-universes.

My last two books were "DEAMON" and "DARKNET" by daniel suarez, Great books, a game-producer creates a program to "hack" society itself. Must-read in my opinion.


Now i´d like to know what you are reading outside the BT-Universe.

I'm currently reading Anathem by Neal Stephenson.

I suggest anything by Neal Stephenson. Snow Crash, another of his books, is one of my all time favorite. Word of warning though, he tends to find concepts he thinks are interesting and have the characters discuss them at length, so if you are not ready for a 15 page dialog on various implications of different interpretations of quantum mechanics, you might not enjoy all his works as much.

Oh, im fine with that. (as long as my english is good enough! but ive read a few Terry Pratchett books in english, it might be okay... )

I'm reading the Nights Dawn Trilogy by Peter F. Hamilton it's awesome though VERY hard going. It's got some grim horror elements to it, the books are like 50mm thick and the print is TINY. If you get a chance to read it I'd recommend it.

Though Fallen Dragon by the same author is a lot easier going, less space opera-ish due to being a more concise tale and having virtually non of the horror elements of the Nights Dawn Trilogy.

I'm just reading one book after another after another. I was reading the Space Wolves series by William King (that's set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe), but I've taken a break from it. I read Dune, and after I finished that, I read Dragonflight (not really my thing, but I finish what I start, so...), and now I'm reading A Clash of Kings (for those of you who don't know, it's the second book in A Song of Ice and Fire, which A Game of Thrones is the first book of). At the same time, I'm listening to an audiobook of Song of Susannah (book 6 of The Dark Tower by Stephen King) while driving. In the past six months, I've read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and one Grey Knights (40k, again) novel, and audiobook'ed Foundation by Issac Asimov and Dune Messiah.

Oh I forgot to add, I've just ordered the Blood of Kerensky series from Amazon, 'cause the only book I've read in the Mechwarrior universe was a thin page turner with no real information and an okay-ish storyline.

Think I'm going to have a bit of a reading session since I'm taking the rest of the week off.

I´ve read a lot WH40k Books. I personally dont like the Space marines much, i prefer the inquisition (the Ravenor triologie, or the Eisenhorn triologie) and the Gaunts Ghosts books. Dune is one of the Universes i do not like very much, so i´ll pass on that. "A Song of Ice and Fire" is on my list so far, a friend said it´s pretty good. I think i´ll start "a game of thrones" soon, seems to be worth it.

Just finished On Killing by Dave Grossman. Should be read by everyone who is literate, cant stress how profound this book is.

'All hell breaks loose' by Max Hastings. Quite an interesting book, with some intresting information and opinions about WW2

The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss are easily the best fantasy I've read since Martin's early 'Song of Ice and Fire' series.

I recently finished Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy, which were also extremely well-written.
