I love Mechwarrior/Battletech so I am mainly playing due to that. Also the fact I do not want to leave my unit hanging.

I'll keep playing for as long as this game is around. It'll take alot for me to spend and it'll take even more for me to quit.

The MW option could also mean you enjoy playing the game...

I voted for both. A) I could, and I enjoy MWO as a MW game. If it wasn't MWO, and it wasn't MW I might (probably wouldn't) be playing. My time spent playing this game has most likely already exceeded my time spent playing all of the Mechwarrior titles I played previously combined (including Mech Commander).

It's a MechWarrior game with shiny new graphics. I don't like many of the aspects that PGI has introduced, while others I love, but I just hope one day they get it right.

I am here solely because of the people I met in these months, and because I am waiting for other titles to be released. The game is pretty much dead to me, unless something good (finally) happens, and I am not really a fan of BT. I enjoy the lore, but not a real fan.

I play b/c it is a mechwarrior title. And it is fun? Yes imho. Is it perfect? No. Will it ever be? No.
Could the game be better? Probably. Will it get better? It is in final stages of bet so I think yes.

Why these questions and answers? Because what is perfect to me will be an abomination to someone else. I would like a full economy with repairs, black market items, "used items" etc. But others would hate this.

By the way, the way you wrote you survey looks negative no matter what you vote.

Sorry but it hardly appears objective. I play b/c it is an mw title, and that doesn't mean anything bad.

Lol, you're funny. So, 165 players knew exactly what the poll is about and answered without complaints, yet you 2 keep acting ignorant.
See, when the majority knows what they're doing, and little Stevie does something completely different, that doesn't mean he's the one genius to rule the em all, but an ignorant individual that is unable to comprehend a simple concept.

On the contrary. If the survey is looked at in the correct manner, as in (atm) 38 voted both and 84 voted only MW, which is an extreme since some might have not voted both, you'll notice that unlike you see in the poll where it's 1:3-ish ratio, it's actually 1:2-ish.
I explicitly explained that those that like the game for the game should vote MWO. I really don't see how someone could misunderstand(165(4?) of 167 understood) such a simple concept.

I won't play again until I get a single player droppable Hard Core mode, so I can come home from a hard day at work and not fall asleep waiting for 12 people I know to get online to play HARDCORE 1pv (which isn't really HARDCORE but whatever)

Although the Project "drain yer pocket" looks intriguing to me...I don't plan on spending a dime on this game until they make it right. I'm enjoying it right now, simply because I haven't played MW for so very long. It's a nice throwback to the old days but it's getting old already with only two modes of play and random drops. I simply can't believe PGI did not impliment a better grouping system and dropzone list in the game. Maybe they are waiting until the 17th, but if they don't do something soon to make this a vast and enjoyable online experience..it's going to Hindenburg.

I don't care what anyone says. I play this game and support the developers financially because the game exists. Am I happy with a lot of what they're doing? No. Am I extremely disappointed that the only difference between the game now and the official launch is a version number? You betcha! Do I like Gauss rifles now? HECK NO!

But the game exists! As broken as it may be, given enough time who knows what will happen with it! If it didn't exist I think there would be a hole in my soul somewhere. . no matter how small. . that grieved that this game was never made.

So complain all you want about the state of the game and it's development process [and believe me, I do ^^] but I'd rather have something retched that can be polished than no game at all.

Also, no matter what state the game is in, I've met some of the coolest people /^^

Because it is Mechwarrior. Couldn't care less if it's online. I'll wait for CW for PGI to surprise me. If they fail, well i will gladly reinstall MW 2/3/4 and play a true Mechwarrior Game. So much for the "No alternative" part.

I'm playing because its a mechwarrior game. The game play is pathetic compared to the other games. The one thing that really ****** me off is the 1:1 battletech time frame, get real

For me it's both. I enjoy this as a game and as a MechWarrior title. Sure it's not perfect, (I would have liked a good single player title, with a meaty economy and co-op campaign, maybe? remaking the first MechWarrior would really make my happy). ECM still ticks me off, as does ELO. UAC is really getting up my nose at the moment, but on the whole I'm enjoying myself.

Way back when, I couldn't play with other people on MechWarrior. I had no internet when MW3 was around, and to describe my net connection as crappy when MW4 was released would be rather generous indeed. So I'm glad I can play some MechWarrior with other people, finally.

I am playing because it is mechwarrior. It may not be quite as good as some of the others but I still enjoy it. So maybe there should be a both voting option. Although I have only played MW2, MW4 Vengeance, Mercenaries, and The Black Knight Expansion so I think I missed a good one somewhere in there.

I play because it's MW. Or better: because SEEMS MW. I mean: the battlemechs are there, the weapons and systems are there, the mech-lab is there... what it is actually missing, though, is the entire MW universe. I'll wait and see if it will ever be considered. As it is now, no way I'll put a cent in it just to have quick skirmishes in a grasp of maps with only 2 ways to complete the so called "missions".
