Hello Gentlemen,

I have a troubling error when trying to log into MWO, the launchers starts up fine but as soon as I type in my email and password to log in and it starts to load into the main console, the application and my entire system freeze up. I can't ctrl+alt+delete, alt-tab or alt f4 and can only get out by restarting my whole computer via the reset button on the front panel of the tower.

I have already tried all the steps in this thread http://mwomercs.com/...-this-may-help/ to no avail.

I have also tried updating and subsequently rolling back my display drivers, running a memtest, checking the Hard Drive for errors, defragmenting, installing MWO to 3 different locations with no positive results.

This doesn't happen with any other games I have.

The freeze happens at the same point every time, just after I hit login and the loading icon appears with the spinning circle in the middle, once it did get as far as showing the main console (where you would access mech lab etc) but it didn't fully load and still froze.

I was last able to play successfully on thursday evening and played for at least an hour, I have been suffering from this problem since yesterday, I have made no hardware or software changes other than what has been recommended in the above thread and no changes were made between it working and not working.

Has anybody else experienced this particular problem and is there anything else I can try to fix the issue?

Windows Updates?

Antivirus/network security updates?

Updated Sound card/network driver?

Friday is when they updated the information for the Labor Day weekend sales.

How long did you allow it to sit after it locks up?

I've updated windows completely after the problem first happened, it was not fully updated prior to that.

Antivirus software is AVG and kept constantly up to date and as far as I am aware my sound and network drivers are all up to date.

The longest I left it was around 1 min after my system froze, but since I can't move my mouse or do anything at all until doing a hard reset at the tower, I didn't want to leave it too long.

I have the same problem, can we get some official info on that, i cant play at all due to this problem.

i have a very similar issue after 1 or 2 mins playing the game it crashes to a black screen and the pc performs a memory dump, the computer restarts its self . sometimes i get a windows message saying that my system has recovered from a serious error.
very frustrating

nb it only happens with this game i run defiance and it runs fine . sometimes on starting the mwo client the front screen is a jumble of images from my last browser session on the net .
