Got stuck? Fell through an invisible hole in the earth? Weapons passing through phantom objects? All Map Collision / Stuck / Fall Through World / Shoot through Object related posts go here! (Now including the Pebbles of Steel!)

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
  • The map affected.
  • The grid tile affected.

Map affected: Canyon Network.
Grid tile: C2
Mech used: Jenner JR7-D(S)
Screen capture: hopefully a video from multiple angles will do:


Approximate coordinates shown according to F9 key: 570,2212,unknown vertical.
Date/time: 2013-08-20 2220hrs PDT (GMT-0700)

The mech shown in the video jump-jetted up on to the capture point and got stuck. Reportedly his leg was also taking damage. He mentioned that he had jump jet fuel, but the jump jets didn't do anything.

Seen this things on Forest Colony and Forest Colony Show since first day of my playing MWO. I see it only in Testing Grounds mode. In Match mode sometimes I see only 1 pixel blue stripe at the left side of my screen - you can see it on screenshot. Some of that things are material, i.e. if you'll fire missiles from the center of the map to the enemy under this things - missiles will hit them.

Thx @ PGI for fixing the invisible obstacles/walls on Forrest Colony Snow!
There were a real annoyance and i am so glad they are gone - good work PGI :D

Saw this last nightI spectating. Sorry the informaiton is incomplete. Expected pilot to report it.

Mech: Stalker
Map: Terra Therma
Grid/Loc: Don't have exact coordinates. Stalker was stuck between steep terrain and a building near a base.
No Screen cap available.

Stalker fell through terrain after being killed. Stalker could also not turn legs or otherwise move.

Hey guys had the following problems.

If I ram any Mech twice I simply go through them.
Does not matter what map or what Mech I use.
Also if I walk close by and not touch another
Mech we bounce around each other.

This makes it totally impossible to hit any target
that is very close to you.

There is a unpassable tree right next to the wall, It is the only one next to the wall. It stopped my Catapult dead in its tracks.

On top of the ship container behind Dock Cap. I jumped up on my Spider and got immediately stuck on the crates.

Where: Pointy outcrops of D4. Walkable spot for my Jenner, got hung up, back and forth wouldn't move me, jump jets depleted and never recharged. When finally found and executed, my wreck fell through the ground.

Piloting my AS7-D-DC on River City, was walking across the bridge from the Upper start area, torso turned left to return fire when I walked into the support pylon on the right and became stuck partially off the bridge. Legs wouldn't respond, could only twist torso, no forward movement of any kind possible. Position was A3 grid, approx ~ 1972.1.2119.3 60.5.

There is an invisible wall near the crystals by one of the starting positions. It looks like you are walking clear of the crystal, but you are moved to the side as if one other, invisible crystal was there.

Got stuck today with the following parameters:

Map: Frozen City - Conquest
Coords: 2318.2/3, 2046.7. 130.8/9

Description: On top of the cap point structure at Epsilon. I jump-jettted on top of the cap point structure, right about on the round landing-pad-looking part and got stuck. I could only turn my legs left/right about 10 degrees (legs were facing towards the 'base' where the team starts), and while the throttle would show as moving forward and backwards at about 20% of max speed, I wouldn't actually move. My jump jets would only recharge to about 10%-15%. I tried shooting at enemies, but none of my shots would register. Some of their shots hit me, but only a few. Also, the whole time, my mech was 'bouncing' up and down just a little bit.
