I just got done listening to the Bryan Ekman trilogy on NGNG and, I can't tell what's going to be a major difference at launch vs. what we have at open Beta now. If user UI2.0 and CW are put off tell Oct. do to technical difficulties with directx 11 plus other things. How you can majorly change the way the games played with the introduction of some thing that overhauls the whole experience of the game when they take effect and not say that's still Beta.

They have bugs and hot fixes to new content and balancing that aren't a complete overhaul now. Little lone change the whole experience of MWO. When they introduce UI2.0, CW, and all the changes that come with that I see a lot more bugs then we've ever seen in the past, with the difference being this will be a month after launch.

Well, there is a patch planned for release day, but if it contains anything significant, then it's meant to be a complete surprise. So far, there is absolutely no information about what to expect on release day. They haven't even said if they're going to remove the beta tag from the logo ;)

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Though there are far less bugs now than closed beta. Much less crashing, hud bug is gone, mech glow bug is gone, corpses don't slide around, fewer disconnects, etc.

Thanks for the reply. I know the game has took steps forward, my point was from the sound of it the new UI and further changes made for the month of Oct.( I know there not set in stone or might not happen all at once) would create just as many problems as we've seen in the past if not more so how can that not still belong to open Beta.

I have my own concerns. I believe the beta should be extended until community warfare is stable. I know it's an arbitrary difference of having beta on a logo or not having a beta on the logo. But some people do expect a magical difference, and sadly those people are in the vast majority.

I think they're going to need to vastly expand the test server to be an entire sub section of the game. They're going to need hundreds, if not thousands, of people to tear apart community warfare to get all the bugs out. They'll never be able to do it in 2 days of random test server play.

A free Timber Wolf/Mad Cat for everyone, thus making all the Founders, Hero and Phoenix mechs obsolete :D

All joking aside, they better have something good in store since the game will be open for review at launch.
The game in its current unpolished state won't get any good reviews.

They already said in the ask the devs, that it is just an official moment to remove the beta label, and to host a party.

Probably they will announce some community warfare information and a bit about the upcoming clans. But don't expect some big patch/changes
