From reading "how" the developers wanted to do community warfare they will have us all dress up like Civil War reenactors and fight a battle where the outcome is already pre-determined. Boy, doesn't that sound awesome? Lets get everyone in Kurita together and take out Hesperis. Oh wait, that not on the battleplan and you won't be allowed to actually initiate a planetary assault and to conquer it?
Welcome to MWO Community warfare.
With the dwindling player base, at best I'd expect Piranha to force to teams just like how it is now, but set up Kurita-Marik-Liao vs Davion-Steiner, and that will be how they'll offer community warfare between the houses if that. If by some miracle Pirnha can actually implement the clans, it will be everyone from the Inner Sphere vs Clans. Pretty lame.

And they think they can do a decent matchmaker with splitting everyone up into 6 factions. It won't happen.

There wont be Davion vs draconis combine matches if you just drop into games
You will still see people of all factions going to get mixed together.
What will happen is that you will most likely generate "faction points" or something like that for your choosen faction per victory, doesnt matter who your lancemates are.
So yeah there will actually no change whatsoever to the standard game experience expect that you get loyality points and will be able to purchase special faction camo and maybe get discounts on faction specific mechs.
But thats it! You wont be able to choose on wich planets you want to fight, you wont be able to drop in an entire team made out of your faction, you wont be able to actually make any worthwhile progress on the star map as a faction since only "border" worlds change owners.
Community warfare will not be what people hope/imagine it to be. Its just a spreadsheet with numbers changing.. thats all. Have fun.
How do i know this?
Well ask yourselfe this:
If they are afraid of splitting the community into 1PV/3PV ques... how high do you think the chances are of them actually splitting the community into different factions alltogether?

Wait for the official launch event where the information of the CW will be released after this long wait.

Har, if I'm playing at that time. A lot of people I know have left the game for different games. If I wasn't playing Battlech since 1987 I'd have left by now. But honestly, I doubt I'll be playing when they release community warfare OR if the game will still have servers up.

And i should believe that they will actually give us information about CW on that date why exactly?
I mean its not like they have promised us that information about CW is right around the corner for over half a year now?
The information about CW is not outdated... it simply does not exist. All we can do is predict how this will be going down by the evidence on how this game has been handled so far.

What exactly is your reason to post then?
I'm playing since MW2 and MPBT:Solaris and MWO is the best game since these days.
Yes CW is not out yet, but why are you posting this?
Is it to lower the fun or faith of other players?

They held/hold down information about CW since the Dev Blogs, yes.
Why? We don't know, but propably because it was not ready and they wanted to be sure and get the best effect for marketing.
If they released newer informations since then, and then change it around, you would say they lied, won't you?
Thats the biggest reason to not release unfinished information!
For both/anyone:
They are doing the Launch event (100% sure).
They will do a presentation/announcement for CW on this event (100% sure).
This it the best time (marketing wise) to release CW information and the best place, considering that it was not released earlier yet.
Releasing CW info before the event (like today) makes less impact than on the event. Waiting any longer for CW info would make less impact and an even bigger disapointment (to the community), so no more time to "hold back" information.
If that's not enough reason for you, I don't know how else you could get your faith back.
Maybe you can enlighten me on this.

I dont think it will be an issue to have 6 factions if theres enough lonewolf players. But like I said, theres gotta be incentive to be lonewolf.

they have literally never followed their dev blogs or design pillars. I expect CW to never come, or just be a little bar at the side of the screen that says "LOYALTY POINTS!" and when you fill it you get a skin and achievement. Thats what CW will be, nothing more.

Secondly, take a look at the factional warfare map in Star Conflict. That's what you should be expecting for CW, should it ever materialise. Anyone looking to Planetside 2 or EVE for concepts is delusional.

Lets focus on why they lost my faith in the first place, shall we? CW was supposed to come out in March, which is 6 months ago. Half a year. In fact, if you track back to last August, what has actually come out? What new things do we have? Minor balance adjustments and more mechs.
I want to see progress. I want to see a complete game, with promised features delivered in a timely manner. A full calendar year has passed and what are we getting? A presentation on a feature that should be out.
How is this possibly ok with you? If any company I have ever worked for saw this time table and failure to progress, the entire company would be fired and replaced with competent people.
Unacceptable.
Now how do you win my faith back?
1. Stop selling things at absurd prices in the store. Seriously, who did the market research on this? I'm not paying $25 bucks for a hero mech, and I'm not sure why anyone else would either.
2. Implement community warfare as promised.
3. Roll back/fix things we were promised would never happen. 3rd person, coolant, etc. Take them out, or separate them from the majority of the player base.
4. Offer a sincere, public apology with details. Explain your mistakes to us, and then detail how you will rectify the issues, including timelines, and then actually do them.
5. Offer FREE incentives to founders to get your core player base back. Half the founders don't play anymore, and the half that does is only on once a month? Fix the game, get your core back.
6. Profit.
TL; DR - They've failed to do everything promised so far, and to get myself and a lot of other founders back, they need to apologize and start scrambling to fix their mistakes.
