Weapons balance has been greatly change today so i would suggest to wait a bit to see the new best builds.
In the meantime you can try http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab and http://mechromancer.wordoflowtax.com/ to create you mech before buying stuff.

I don't play Atlai, but here's a good link for you to try new builds before you burn CB.

Also a link at the top "discuss custom mechs" may be helpful.

Congrats on the Atlas... see you on the battlefield!

AMS requires ammo, ER large lasers are rather inefficient. dual case is a waste of tonnage, and relocating ammo can remove the need for case altogether: the head, ironically, is the safest place for ammo, and legs are relatively safe, since you lose them much less frequently.

try this:

I dropped the case, one medium laser, gave you an extra heat sink, AMS ammo, and more SRM ammo, at the cost of removing one ton of AC20 ammo.

You should have the large lasers on your primary trigger (mouse1), AC20 and SRM on secondary (mouse2) and the medium laser on group 3 (mouse3, or mouse4 if you have additional buttons, mouse4 is better to press, as it's located under your thumb, while mouse3 is the wheel button).

Projectile speed gives your AC20 and SRMs good synergy, so they can be fired with one button. If you find yourself running hot in a close engagement, prioritize the cannon, missiles, and medium laser, use the LL sparingly.

You can save 0,5 Tons if you remove the case from one of the torsos and place the Amunition in the head. Loose another 0,5 Tons of weight from somewhere (probably leg armor or the second case and moving the ammo to the center Torso), then you can even have 1 Ton of Ammunition for your AMS :(.

Other than that, the build seems solid, just be carefull and watch your heat.

P. S. If you downgrade the 2 SRM6 launchers to SRM4, then you can include Artemis which will increase your damage quite a bit (as more missiles will be hitting your target instead of flying past it).

AS7-RS
You can also change the ER-Large lasers for regular Large lasers for a very slightly better heat efficiency (32% instead of 30%).

Also, that setup has quite a few different weapon systems with varying reloads and ranges, which means that you will have quite a few weapon groups to manage.

[Grrr, second time trying to post this, hopefully I can get the info out in a better way]

This is mostly a brawling build. I think your main problem you will be facing is the multiple weapons systems and the fact that all your weapons have different ranges.

You might want to have your ERLLs on your left arm and the medium lasers on the right. I suggest this, because everyone is most likely going to aim for your right shoulder to get rid of the AC/20 and you don't want to lose your most damaging weapons at the same time. And the fact that you can fire your ERLLs at the same time and be reasonably sure to hit the same area.

I'm also not sure about the dual SRM6s. The tube groups you have are for 5 and 4, so most likely you are going to be shooting your missiles in two seperate volleys and most likely waste missiles. You may want to think about dual SRM4s.

OK, ty for reply guys. I looked on all and i fond this build to be good AS7-RS.
And if you have another type of building with different weapons, i will be happy to see them. I read on forums about this mech and i found it will be good for sniping to, but i think this will be hard for a new player.

Your current build is almost exactly what I use on mine with the exception of the LL's are ER and I only fire them at greater than 270M, I switch to the ML when I get into SRM range to cut down on heat in close quarters. That way on maps like alpine and tourmaline I have some nice long range firepower.

Except I drop down to 15 DHS and use a standard 325 engine. Requires more discipline with heat management but allows me to get places a bit quicker and twist the torso faster. Something like This.
