I never said I couldn't fight, dumbass. I said high alpha is always gonna exist. Ruining two weapons is an exercise in stupidity. You are another of those people that I hate in this game. Your style of play is all that matters and everyone else can eat ****. I don't care how you play...I play my way, high alpha single shots, and you play yours. If mine kicks your ***, then you cry about damage. Your skill is to get plinked to death and say you are a badass. Mine is to dodge until I get a shot that blows your nuts off and makes you run to the Devs begging for a nerf. Tell me which takes more skill.

What's your issue? You can still run "high alpha single shots" so I'm not sure why you're crying so much.

Waaaaaaa

[REDACTED]

About time some changes happened. Personally the gauss change makes some sense from a realism aspect as it's essentially a rail gun. Rail guns need a charge time.

If the reason you can't fight anymore is because 2 weapons out of the several dozen in the game gets changed, you need a serious reassessment of what "skill" is. I don't need a cheap alpha setup to win. A real skilled player can do it all day with anything. So, please, cry. My shoulder is here for you to cry on. Cheese build players had this coming.

Oh, and WAAAAAAAAAA

The charge time is in the capacitors, which are charged WAY before you fire a round. The reload time of an actual gauss slug is pretty much negligiable..what you are waiting for on your recycle is the capacitors to spool up again.

my PPC/Gauss meta was taken from me. it was all i had left after PGI brought in the boating changes.

Now, I've come here to cry, instead of learning to play the game properly.

Shame, I had so much fun base camping with dual ppc/gauss boats waiting for the enemy to rush our base while my 3 lancemates all ppc/gaussed the same target together and 1 shotted people nearly instantly.

Oh look! A wild CoD kiddie showed up!!! bitching that you actually need skill to play the game instead of running around like a ****** with complete cheese builds. YAY!!!! Looks like the tables finally turned.

I'm OK with the PPC changes...but after testing it...the Gauss charge to fire is s"{Scrap}". It already has a long recharge time, and now you wait through that and then have to hold to charge and then release? Bah...IMO they screwed up a perfectly fine weapon. Kudos for making it slightly less fragile, Boos for the hold to charge and release function.

This pretty much is the reason why it happened. Have a “best” weapon is bad for a game with dozens of weapons.

I almost wonder if you are being sarcastic… The PPC and PPC + Gauss were the most easy to use weapons in the game, which why they were such a problem. Anyone (and everyone) could just pack them on because they required so little skill.

Your own apparently.

Splitting the playerbase on weapon loadouts is actually a good thing for the health of the game. And the changes to the gauss and PPC are by no means the end of those weapons; they are still extremely effective in the right hands, they just won’t be standard issue on every mech.

Oh, thank you so much for your pointed insight and superiority. What would we do without you telling us what is the best setup in the game? Actually, the dual guass was better for making slap shots to the head.

I have no tears for the nerf. Let them do it. All I am saying is that it is a futile exercise to ruin two weapons and will only serve to make me find even more devistating high alpha builds.

You damn damage whiners have created a situation in this game where that only two builds are viable. Fast, low damage nut slappers and slow, heavy high damage gut punchers. Nothing in between works very well, even it they are fun to play. People like you are the cause of the current heat system, stupid weapon game mechanics, and gobs of assualt mechs lumbering all over the place. Then you want to say your in favor of balance. Bullshite.

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo on you, Devs, for taking the best weapons in the game and making them pretty much useless. I understand that many of the weaker players are really upset at getting totally owned by the skilled pilots who are able to take a single shot on a crazy fast traverse to burn their little sensitive ***** off, but aren't the tutorials supposed to teach them how to play? Those tear generators need to get thicker armor and quit whining to you guys begging you to kill all the joy in this game.

You seem to have a pretty good grasp of why they needed the nerf in the first place. The rest of your post just shows you are the one who needs to "l2p", now that you can't rely solely on what you freely admitted were "the best weapons in the game."

**** all of you. Flame away if you want. Dart around in laser boats and complaing that ballistics are the only way to go and PPCs are stupid and unfair. I will continue to play how I want, nerfs be damned along with the damage whiners. You idiots totally missed the point I made to begin with. That is, making good weapons weaker so that people who get hit won't cry about it is wrongminded and counter-productive. High alpha cannot be nerfed out of the game and **** people who try to make it happen.

You must have a lot of pent-up anger. Perhaps you should shed a few. :)

Edit: Nevermind your post was full of whine.

So, here we are, our guass rifles in mothballs and ERPPCs being stripped and sold off. Several of my mechs will be retired as well while I go back to Jagerbombing. No matter what you do to us, high alpha gaming is always going to be around. I like to make people cry with it. Those same people won't be happy until you leave us with only Small Pulse Lasers to smack each other in the balls with while we admire our pretty, expensive paint jobs in 3PV.

Haha to all of you unskilled AC20 targets that are gonna be all over the forums begging for a range, heat, and damage nerf in the coming weeks. High alpha players are just gonna move on to bigger and better things to make you cry. I, and many others, have been testing mean-old-high-alpha builds ever since the announcement that Guass would become totally useless. All this change has done was split the player base against each other, and that is just fine with me.

I really hope the OP is just trolling...

It's not so much about them being too powerful, it's more about making the game boring as hell because everyone used the same damn weapons. Why not rename the game "PPC+Gauss Warrior" if that's what you want? There needs to be viable weapon variety. All I hear from posts like this are big, fat tears over the fact that they might have to use more than two brain cells to come up with a good build, or just wait for the next gay meta build to be slapped up everywhere on the internet so they can copy it.

If you don't understand why the "best" weapons get nerfed then you have no place in a beta or giving feedback to devs on balance.

Live your adapt and die lifestyle all you like, but don't campaign against balance.
