I may buy this Stomper. What are your opinions of this build?

Might be a little light on AC5 ammo, maybe. Depends on your playstyle. You'll probably want more jumpjets, but again, that's a personal choice on how you run it. Overall, nothing jumps out at me as being wrong with the build. I'd play it as a mid-range harasser and light response mech. You won't chase down lights with it, but you'll scare'em off.

One ECM, though, and your firepower drops significantly. Just a heads up.

it looks good, it doesnt have BAP so ECM lights might become a problem. But how about this one: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...87f3996be9175c9

Edit 2 - Found the right build. This is what I used, not that ****-poor overheater build I linked earlier: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...205e0c067263e73

Agreed. No argument there. I hit that frustration several times. The large lasers were normally enough to bail me out, but yeah. Didn't want to spare the tonnage.

The heat efficency on the mech is pretty good (probably more than you need). I would consider removing the external DHS and replacing it with an additional ton of JJs. I like to run 2 JJs if I run them at all.

I think 3 tons is adequate for the A/C5 (at least for me).

Lastly, like Turist said, I would shift some more armor to the front. With the streaks and A/C5 escpecially, you should be facing your enemy more than turning your back to them.

A slight variation on your first post.

Removed some DHS that I didn't think you needed and upgraded the AC to a UAC, and added some JJs

Similar to mine, but I skipped the AMS and went with an Ultra AC/5, for a chance to do a little extra damage at long range. I think I also used a 280 XL, upped the armor, and added an extra ton of ammo.
