NOTE: I will update this post frequently. Veterans please link Smurfy builds for each Trial so that we can show New Players, this is what you got, this is what you want.

In the interest of helping New Players here are notes and links to the Stock Builds on Smurfy. Clicking Weapon Lab in Smurfy (top middle) will show you how the weapons behave and more importantly how long they can be fired without shutting down. Never alpha with a stock stalker, they're not designed for it. Hang back until you exhaust your LRMs, get a narc if you can at 200-400 m. Be careful of firing the medium lasers and the SRMs together. Watch your heat and try to catch damage with your sides instead of your center.

Trial Centurion is hard to use, even for old hands.
You had to go very close before you can shot, and might be destroy in half way.
even if you close enough to fire, there still have great chance to miss your target.
It's not a new player friendly mech.

If you are a new player and had to use trial mech, Raven 3L (have ECM) and Stalker 5M (with heavy armor) might be batter choose.

Well the Cent should teach a new player about Torso Twist. It will also be useful as a lot of the Pheonix Project mechs seem to have an empty or almost empty arm. Given that it is a brawler it can also teach patience, move too soon and you die.

So while it might not be exactly easy, it is a good mech to try.

I like that cent. I hate running mediums in general because they feel fragile and undergunned, but it's pretty straightforward to zombie in it. Not entirely sure about the reasoning behind MPulse + SRM4+A, though.

The Centurion Champion is a bad design. You simply do not stuff the ammo in the same leg, and expect it to function properly. Spreading it would at least allow it to keep it weapons functional... rather than a KNOWN double chance to cause an ammo explosion.

I honestly don't understand the use of pulse lasers, since it limits the range a bit more (med pulse @ 270m is suddenly half as effective).

The MPLaser is certainly an odd choice. I switched it to 2 ML and added 2 DHS and picked up almost a full point of DPS, with the lasers and missiles range matched as a side benefit.
