Hi guys, if you're having this issue, check out

and look at MechKilla's first Post. Apparently someone in Piranha Games doesn't check their function calls and there's a dodgy key in the registry with a double slash causing the patcher to die.

Was happening to me and thanks to MechKilla I'm able to play again.
