Some tips from a guy that have played other Pro Games and seen a lot of events:
- Make sound checks.
- Don't ever make best of 1 games. If you don't know what this means, you don't know a thing about competitive gameplay.
We wait 15 minutes for a game that lasts like 2-5 minutes ... NO not axceptable for your audiance.
- If you make a Tournament with Clans make sure the viewrs can check those Clans online and see the Clan players. Keep in mind that Pro players are like Football players, like actors. With time they might bring you audiance with their names alone.
- Respect the nick names of the players even if they are lame, at least make an effort wort notising. Every time you show you don't care about something, you make your audiance care less about you too.
In the future I expect this game to have Replays and Spectator possabilitis for all players. This is a must for all competative games.
Technical dificalties are normality espacialy for first event. But seting the casters deck right in the middle infront of the players, well I'm sure you can aford more then one camera. Best will be if you manage to make Boot at leas for the casters, so you isolate the sound, but that is rarly the case with most tournaments. Most of all you need to show you actually work on the game to make it clean. Fix bugs that are game breaking and add replays and spectator. Adding more Mechs does not show me you care for compatitive gaming.
Thank you for your sweet time reading this and I hope it is helpfull to some one here. I am speaking as a player and intusiast for this game and hope it will prospect towards competative gameplay.
PS. If you are going to overlap games, make sure you overlap the less important first games. I quess that was not planned but still every one likes to see the higher games more then the starting games.
