herpa derp... i have the derpies..

yes, many of you have read this while i have been in game..

to the point, im a disabled veteran, but long before that fateful day i had read many of the books in the mechwarrior universe, and seeing how the honor of House Kurita was, their sneak suits, the way some of their top warriors went to their funerals upon graduation so that it was already over and done with, i enjoyed seeing that type of commitment.

that and the dragon, the biggest beast of old world lore, the things knights had to slay for their beautiful princess, basically the ruler of the mythical beasts...

i do not recall those top warriors that went to their own funerals upon graduation, but the thought that they were committed to battle even unto certain death.. it brought out a special kind of emotion within me, duty, honor, and self sacrifice, these bubbled to the surface..

this also made me recall those special soldiers, the spartans, and how in history class i learned of the way they were taught to be rigid, firm, hardcore mo phoes.. one story told of them learning to steal, and that one boy stole a fox, and while standing in formation the fox was tearing his guts out, but still, the young boy stood at attention until he fell over from blood loss and died..

this kind of commitment was instilled upon me again after reading those books of the House of Kurita and the way those soldiers were. i thought of this upon entering into the armed forces, and when i got hurt in basic training, i to went back into formation until and proceeded to conduct myself as though i was not hurt until the day i could no longer stand in formation..

after they had to order me to sick call, the thoughts of all of this came back to me, and the rest of my company thought i was crazy but knew i was hardcore from all the other actions i had performed during my 9 weeks, but it hit me like a ton of bricks.. i had just done something that history talked about..

that people wrote about..

yes, i may be telling this in an autobiographical sense, but the truth of the matter is the instilled sense of duty that something such as this simple game can do for a person is profound.

this is just something i wanted to share with the rest of my Kuritan brothers..

also, i am just a wanderer amongst you without a home or unit or family other than all of this House as a whole..

Hi Fr0z7y, Check out the servants of the DCMS thread, where you can see a full listing of Kurita units to meet and drop with. One of them you might join at some point. Good luck in your search. The warriors of House Kurita stand together.
