I noticed quite a few people mention this promotion for new players, I didn't see any banners or buttons when I first installed, is it something that has been stopped?

New players get a cadets bonus for their first 25 matches.
At the end of that you can afford basically any mech usually.

No free premium AFAIK, but this is better!

Last day of free premium I can recall was some promotional thing ages ago when Penny Arcade made an infographic tutorial about how to pilot a 'mech. As far as I know there hasn't been any promotion like that in a while.

If you're a new player, though, your first 25 games get a massive C-bill boost to help fund your first battlemech, so you should still be on solid financial ground.

It's okay, I'm not that new, I've gone through the cadet bonus and felt the depressing rate of income thereafter. I was just curious to try out a day of premium to see if it's worth me spending money. I saw quite a few people mention it recently in the forums as well as finding less recent threads on the subject via google.

view the download page http://mwomercs.com/game/download and download the client (even if you already have it) to trigger a day of premium time to appear on the bottom of the webpage. Can only be redeemed once per account. If it does not appear turn off ad blocker or anything funny like that.

Can be triggered by anyone, but if you already redeemed it it will have a different image saying "offer redeemed"

A forums search should turn up a free day.. I think if you walk through the client setup/install and cancel out one of the options is a free day of premium time that can be redeemed once per account... Kinda an incentive to get you to uninstall and clean up.

Nope, turned off adblock, still no popups, should it appear as soon as I click download? Or is it something I need to check in the installer?

I did a search on several threads, followed the instructions and nothing happens.
Will I have to uninstall then reinstall it perhaps?

Nevermind I found out the answer. Had to turn off adblock and then I had to open a new window for it to work, rather than a new tab (the way I almost always view multiple pages.)

nothing in the installer, just on the download webpage after clocking the big blue button. Which browser?

If you're still new enough it could be worthwhile to create a new account and pay for one day of premium while you have your cadet bonus active. That'll net you enough money to buy anything in the game. With the premium time on Cadet, you'll net an extra 200,000 C-Bills a match instead of the 12,500-20,000 you'll probably receive playing now.

Step 1: go to the download page.



Step 2: Click the big blue button



Step 3: Click the "Redeem now Premium time" button bottom left (Mine says "offer redeemed" already)

Troubleshooting: Clear browsing data, disable ad blockers. Try a different computer or a different browser.

It still works, I used it just this past monday. I claimed it before, just never activated it until I could spend a whole day playing.
