themittani.coms regular Mechwarrior writer goes over the September 3rd patch.

Also a couple of interesting comments once you get past the idiots still raging about the gauss changes.

its not way off.
but cents got a kick in the nuts with the srm/streak nerf.
still registration hits for missiles is no where near the same as ballistics.
even lasers cannot compare.
if the shots registered better or damage was increased to match it then it would be still a decent mech to field.
once you go up against a bigger target with JJ's the damage just disappears into the "void" :P

Cents are currently good mechs. Honestly I'm not seeing SRMs with worse hit detection that my AC/20, and Cyber I know you remember when Gauss shots regularly passed through objects, I swear I feel it's almost as bad as over a year ago for the large ballistics...

that is interesting.
I got a jagger-A just there two weeks ago and having not much of an issue with it. (AC20)
Even UAC5 is starting to take the most dominant spot.
Maybe our bad habits of over twitchy "evading procedure" is doing is more harm then we think.

While the Jagger is new to me I'm a lot more idiotic with it then in a light.
And also I am presuming that your talking about assaults for yourself.
Its the only thing I can think of to make sense of these polar opposite opinions.

Oh yes, you know me and my Atlai, it's usually an AC/20 shot from dead on on a stationairy or directly-head-on-advancing mech that registers ZERO damage, with team mates spectating me commenting on it, and sometimes w/out spectators, that has been riling me up since just after Terra Therma dropped. Oh, that and Spiders, ugh.

oh dear god the spiders.
really think that a spiders has to get its own weight class, especially when talking about lights.
love it when spider pilots talk about skill, you don't even need to unlock skills for it, just as laggy without them :P

No, when the damage got re-raised and the recycles got buffed?

No. But I think calling Mechs robots just to anger the BT-fans is childish. If you want to write articles not only for Goons, then do it seriously or don't do it at all.

lol...
sry but lol, really. those are big stompy robots! And he doesn't do it to mock someone up, it's called bad writing style if you repeat the same word over and over. So robot is a good alternative for mech. At least better than tin man.

They are not. Battlemechs are warmachines guided by human pilots.
