from Niko Snow:
"Welcome to Ask The Devs

Please make sure to review the Code of Conduct and Rules & Guidelines BEFORE posting.

Ask The Devs is a regular event run to allow players to send direct questions to the Development Team. Players are able to reply to all open threads, but cannot create their own.

Please remember to limit yourself to one concise question per member each ATD.
Please avoid providing any impolite, unconstructive or otherwise loaded questions.
Please do not cross-link to or from other topics.
Please do not make Placeholder posts.
Please avoid asking Questions which have already been answered.
Please refrain from asking new questions in the Answers threads.

The Dev team will select 5 of the 15 most popular questions to answer with each ATD event."

agree with a most of this except 2 BIG things...

1. "Please avoid providing any impolite, unconstructive or otherwise loaded questions."
in other words "dont ask questions we don't like"

2. "The Dev team will select 5 of the 15 most popular questions to answer with each ATD event."
basically same as the first...except this time they won't try to hide the fact of player votes, as they ignore them anyway

so it boils down to asking about new camo and how awesome the dev's are and what their favorite ice cream flavor is

any thoughts?

I think your being overly harsh.

I don't know if you've noticed, but there are quite a lot of highly voted questions that are essentially shoving their failures into their faces. They took on these questions this time, but they are trying to adjust the system so that it covers a larger variety of questions, and yes, maybe takes a little pressure of their bruised egos.

the ATD's are not here for us to stab them repeatedly about 3pv or other sources of outrage, but to get some questions answered.

u might be right about me being overly harsh...3pv bothers me as a founder and i hate being lied to.

the ATD's are here to get answers about development of this game...i dont think its too much to ask why they do something we dont like...thanks for not calling me a troll...the dev's here seem to alienate constructive criticism as being "on an island"

we ARE their demographic...i played 3 or 4 games since patch...i want this game to succeed, but my money is going to other games and developers who actually listen

i appreciate your opinion though and thank you for the response

you know, that's the best way to make your statement.

tell them what you want on the forums. they may or may not listen to you, you can't expect them to. If they don't meet their own standards, stop playing.

It's one thing to call them out on their errors and failures as you have, but if people continue to support them, then they are not disappointing everyone. No amount of acid from any if these forum trolls is going to change their decisions. again, they don't meet your expectations, so don't play.

as far as I'm concerned, 3pv and a few other features aside, they have listened to a great deal of feedback. not every choice they have made has been a winner.

I feel for you as a founder, because you invested in this game from the beginning. If I had any money, I'd be right there with you.

I suggest looking into star citizen, I'm really drooling over that game.
