The only way it'll work is if they outsource the port to an experienced studio who has some idea of what they're doing on those platforms.

From what i understand developing games on the next gen consoles is much easier becouse its using the same architecture as pc hardware. I honestly have a feeling they are working on something big behind the scenes becouse there's no way they put so much time into this game and get so little done. I wouldn't be suprised if they announce a console version of the game eventually. That would answer alot of questions.

And this explains everything.
No lobby.
No Community Warfare.
No UI2.0.
All resources diverted to console ports.
Add a few more mechs and maps and that's it.
I was depressed about the state of this game.
Now I'm just plain pissed off.
What a ripoff.
Thanks PGI.

This is pretty much why we haven't gotten anything in the last year. They're redesigning so that it works with consoles, and porting. Meaning no time to actually develop the game.
It's a business, money is in the consoles, and people keep paying ludacris amounts (myself included) for stupid things like a few mechs for a game that is nothing but an uncustomizable deathmatch.. so why add more features when what they have already makes money!
(psst the deathmatch is still fun though...)

Precede the twitter post with "Gentlemen, BEHOLD! ...<INSERT TWITTER POST HERE>"
Makes it far less dramatic and far more entertaining.

People keep saying this. Guess no one knows there was a Mech assault 3 on the Nintendo DS.

What We have now will be Mech assault 4.......
Ya, I saw one that but I don't really count the Nintendo DS as a true console (or any portable device for that matter), so I figure this title is kinda on it's own and doesn't count. I'm going to stick with MW:O will be the new MechAssault 3.

It's pretty amazing that every time Brian says something on twitter its like he completely forgets the effects his every word will be dissected by the community and analyzed. You would think after the 3rd person stuff he would either get rid of twitter or just not respond without first checking with PR team...

Sounded like he was using the release of XBox One and PS4 as some cryptic excuse for why we have no new features for launch...for whatever reason that might be.
But I don't think it's a direct confirmation that MWO will be released on consoles. Unless maybe, PGI/IGP is getting bought-out by Microsoft Studios.

It's a marketing move, nothing more.
