I'm interested in your opinions on which are the best three modules I should equip on my Cataphract Ilya.

My loadout is 3 x UAC5, and 3xML. So I'd categorise the Mech as a ''mid-range brawler'', if that helps.

Thanks in anticipation of your sharing your views.

I would use...

...Adv. Seismic Sensor (even with the nurf, still worth the GXP)
...Capture Accelerator (Game changer / saver)

Then depending on personal taste either...

...UAV (No better pug communication tool than UAV that has been Improved/Upgraded..."The enemies are HERE.")
...Cool Shoot 9x9 (If you have heat issues)
...Target Info Gathering (If you want to see what components are cored on enemy faster)

Cool shot 9 by 9
Adv Seismic Sensor
Target Info Gathering..

First when you overheat too much and only to be used when you absolutely need it to score a critical kill or to save yourself (I always keep one with me, but I rarely employ it let's say 1 every 15 20 matches)

Seismic it's always useful

Info gathering allows you to know faster where you can hit with higher pain for your target or to guess the loadout so if there's a xl engine and so on.

Thanks. I don't use consumables because I value the CBills too much :-) But I agree UAV can be very helpful.

I had been using advanced sensor range, but now that I have Seismic, Advanced Sensor Range seems less useful. What do you think?

Advance zoom now works wonderfully since patch and would let you take advantage of the IMs range, seismic can save your *** from sneaky lights an for third I'd go advance sensors.

Zoom and Seismic. Maybe Target Decay to help you get spoting bonuses.

Mid range brawler module loadout for me is usually:

Seismic
Target info gathering

In the third spot, if I have one, I either usually go with cool shot or advanced zoom, you don't really need target decay unless your a scout/lrm boat, capture accelerator is an option depending on your speed but I tend not to carry it outside of a light/fast medium, sensor range, to me, has always been more of an LRM thing, if your using direct fire weapons then as long as you can see your target you are fine (ECM also makes this useless).
Finally 360 target retention is more for streaks I find, you can already "see" behind you with seismic anyway.

seismic and target info gathering are my default two for any mech, target decay is usually my 3rd since you can get an idea if someone continues running behind cover or sits still.

adv zoom or range extension can be handy too, 360 i've used but dont find it that useful. was moreso before seismic.
