Great map but
Why they don't fight for Epsilon instead of just walking around all the damm games?
I think I found a solution to that, why not placing two ressource near each other near epsilon.
This could be kind of wierd for some people but this would really give us a good fight.

When they nerfed the ability for mechs to climb hills they really destroyed the playability of the map.... I would agree It is sadly much more boring now. Its needs a major redo if the mech climbing nerf is here to stay.

You now what it is? It's too flat and desolate. On top of that the map is practically designed to encourage you to avoid combat and walk around the side and cap.

Wait, what is it? Too flat, or too many hills we can't climb?
Personally I find it quite.... serene. Until I get all shot to pieces, that is.
I thinks that mixing up the locations of the cap points in conquest would make for better games. I really like the idea of two points being close enough to blast at each other from.

I agree, and Alpine used to be a favorite. Just got to be the same thing over and over. There are two choices if you start at the lower drop zone, and one if you start at the upper.
I think some severe, visibility-obliterating weather would make this map fresh again. Blizzard, fog, anything.

So I'll say it again. PGI have a massive opportunity to try out new idea with Alpine. Alpine itself is a great vista to work with. It has range, lots of it. It was a Sniper's (That's me) paradise when we could climb the hills; conversely it demonstrated that we really don't have effective Sniping weapons, I mean nothing that can hit out to 2km.
Alpine could be the test bed for the dynamic weather effects that have been discussed in several polls; things like Tornados, Dust storms, Snow storms, Blizzards, Hurricanes, Fork Lightning, Fog, Haze etc. Not to mention active day night shifts with Dusk and Twilight and Sunrise.
Mini Objectives
Another idea, also discussed in a lot of threads relating to Alpine, is to include micro objectives for which you would get compensated in C-Bills or even GXP for example:
1. Locate Terraforming Facility (New Structure) = 50 C-Bills
2. Scan structure using active sensors (Maybe new sensor module)= 50 C-Bills
3. Return to Lance Commander and upload data (Assuming Commander not taken out)= 5 GXP
