I don't know how this all started occuring, but I'll give some details of has suddenly started occuring to my computer:
  • I booted my computer, and got past the password prompt for my Windows 8 profile, and I got to the new Start screen. I mostly encounter this problem; whenever I scroll up and down on the mouse to navigate the menu, it restarts the start menu UI, OR desktop UI like I just reopened the app yet while it was still active.
  • I Checked Windows Update to find if it was a glitch from the new OS; everything was accounted for.
  • I Checked Norton to see if I had to delete unwanted spyware disrupted my hardware's performance; no threats were detected, I was cleared.
  • I tried to open the MW:O client and the prompt from the OS basically said, "Do you wish to have this(MW:O) chnage this computer's hardware?" I'd always have to say 'yes' for the patcher/launcher to appear. I clicked 'yes'. and it now gives me an error saying I need to update my .NET frameworking to version 4.0.30319, YET I already have this version installed. So [ !-AT THIS MOMENT-! ], I cannot play MW:O.
  • At unusual times, I've also noticed my computer give me similar notices about programs like explorer.exe not working or functioning(while it was not up though), and it had to be terminated(closed i think). This for some reason occurs also while scrolling up and down on my mouse like the previous glitch
  • I've had the scrolling problem just over the past minute, it apparently re-opens the desktop with the same windows opened(yet very irritating) while just moving the mouse after it reloaded the UI!!!
  • Here is the last odd notice. I've seen a window pop-up while trying to restart/shutting down & turning back on that said "Application Error: Reference point 0x0f004919 tried referencing to point 0x00020101990100. Terminate application? Yes/No" (I don't remember the numbers, so these aren't that exact but I got something like this after recently finished playing MW:O a few times)

Okay for some background information about what I do on my computer; I just limit the amount of email sharing with people to reduce spam so I only have contacts with family/friends/and game websites(MW:O). And I've played MW:O a lot in the past 2 months. Now, this is ALL on a Windows 8 64-bit i5 core laptop computer. Because I've been using practically NOTHING! else besides MWO and other simple programs(I have used a very small amount of things from the internet, no facebook or other social net. junk) So I've really had a hunch that GUI glitch has happened between MWO sessions... and my lame Windows 8 laptop. I think it's caused by sudden errors from interactions with the game and my hardware. I've ALWAYS turned my laptop off by manually holding the power button on the laptop, but this has sometimes cause the glitch from #7.

I've thought that I needed to power-down the laptop by using the UI 'Shut down' key, but I never bothered to. It always went into a low-power state so that when I lifted the lid it turned on
(I hated that). If this is a problem that Microsoft may be having with it's Window's 8 product line I'll see if this is more or mostly their fault, but if it isn't does anyone have a clue of why my laptop is acting like this?
