I cant find anywhere to post this, if you know a better place, please direct me that way.

So heres the deal, downloaded the client and it said there was a patch available, now I have never had this game installed on this installation of windows, I've had it on this computer but since have reformatted. I was surprised that it only said ~2 gbs to download, I knew the game was far larger, but it finished, and now will only try to play. It thinks its up to date, but only the patch is installed, not the game, all the logs say up to date and the client still just says play.

My system has not changed since I had last had it installed other than a new soundcard, so I can't think of what the problem might be. I can't find anything regarding mechwarrior in the registry other than the latest entries from today's attempted installation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the game is only aprox ~ 2.7gig in size (hd space and download)

have you tried to click on the button "play" to play the game?
