Just some thoughts from a veteran gamer.
A year to do a redesign of the UI? Sad.
How about a functioning in-game chat system instead of the botched, glitchy abortion we have now. Backspace doesn't work properly. Chat doesn't carry over, etc etc.
Also, how about some new game modes? Capture the oil rigs is not fun, it's not original or unique to Mechwarrior, plus it's been played to DEATH over the last year.
Visual improvements would be nice so the graphics don't look straight out of 2004.
No clan invasion at launch, no CW, limited map selection, no new game modes, balance issues still rampant... how do they expect the game to survive? I took a break for like 3 months and barely anything has changed.
The way they are milking the community for cash is shameful and blatantly exploitative. Never have I seen a developer so plainly focused on the profit. It shines through in all their actions. Releasing new mechs over a period of weeks and making them first only available for MC... really? Around $15-20 bucks to have the Orion mech 1 week sooner? Pff.
Game just lacks imagination, isn't sexy, very limited in scope, and not that fun. I know it will get better but this is decidedly an amateur effort.
